Very nice location and place. The food and bev were overpriced for the quality. At least $15 for a glass of wine. My crab ravioli tasted like the crab had been taken out of a can and the pasta was undercooked. I expect better quality food for these types of prices.

We’ve eaten here several times but this time my meal was not as I would have hoped. Focaccia bread was just Naan bread grilled…not focaccia….disappointing for $12. My mussels were not fresh, tasted very bad and when I mentioned it, the staff was gracious in their concern and they did remove them from the bill, but also my chicken dinner was a disappointment. Chicken breast was super tough and based on the crust of the mashed potatoes…my meal sat under the heating tray for quite a while before I got it. The rest of my friends enjoyed their pasta dinner very much and said it was super tasty…very filling and they said they wish they had more.

Food was ok. Have been here before and it was much better. Salad had too much pepper. Focaccia was spicy.

We went for my daughter's birthday tonight and everything and everyone was amazing. She only turned 24, but they brought out a piece of cake for her and a card signed by everyone. Our server was so friendly and personable. The food and atmosphere was lovely. Wonderful wonderful wonderful!

It was our first experience at Mezzo and we can’t wait to go back! My sister and I were seeing a show at the Benedum. The food was delicious and our service was well informed about the menu and very engaging!

I’m not a fan of an Italian restaurant that doesn’t give bread first or a dinner salad with an entree but charges $32 per entree. I also feel if you are serving a chicken piccata type of entree, pasta should be the side, not mashed potatoes. Again, supposedly an ITALIAN restaurant.

We had a table for 8 and the restaurant was slow for a Saturday night. Waitress came over after 15 minutes and told us there was no steak, and no limes. We ordered cocktails and they were brought to the table 45 minutes after our reservation time. We quickly ordered salads and entrees that came out all once but in a timely fashion. My crabcakes were undercooked and soggy. The atmosphere was great. We are from out of town and had not been here in 10 years. Very disappointing.

Very disappointed! Mezzo has undergone a lot of changes over the past four years which has resulted in it being one of the most inconsistent restaurants in Pittsburgh. There have been chef changes, management changes and staff changes....none of which has resulted in consistent experiences. My wife and I dined there a few months ago and had a wonderful experience. Last night, our experience was anything but wonderful. The menu had changed AGAIN. It was much smaller and the choices were limited. We shared what was "called" herbed focaccia bread....which turned out to be a round of baked flat pizza dough heavily sprinkled with dried herbs likely from a shaker that was intended for enhancing "dipping oil". We shared the entree of crab cakes which were salty and kinda "mushy" and the gnocchi which arrived at our table as a mountain of previously frozen gnocchi which were overcooked by at least three to four minutes. It was more like gnocchi mashed potatoes! The only bright spot was that our special request for a window seat WAS granted! Please know that "I" have given glowing reviews of Mezzo in the past ...but NOT this time. Please bring back my old Mezzo!!!

We visited Mezzo before attending a show at Liberty Magic. Mezzo is one of our favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh. We have never been disappointed with the food and service. There were six in our group. We had mussels, pizza, crab cakes, steak and dessert. Everything was delicious! Our server was Daisy and she was fabulous! Can’t wait to visit again.
