   Went for pre-theatre dinner before going to the Hippodrome. Pre-theatre 2 or 3 course menu was very good. Thoroughly recommended. It’s a few minutes walk to the Hippodrome with is just opposite

   Good menu including gluten free. Excellent service and reasonably priced Food of a high quality and great presentation. Overall an excellent experience. Have used them before and will use again.

   The staff were lovely, but we arrived at our table at about 6.05 pm and got our main meals at almost 7 pm. We were at the ballet at 7.30 pm, luckily just across the road, or we would have had to leave much earlier. We ate our main meal and asked for the bill simultaneously. There was a problem with the till as we didn't get our drinks order on seating until a good 20 mins. The food was incredible. Just a little disappointed as it was so lovely.

   Efficient service during a busy pre- theatre time, so limited menu. Had more of a cafe feel than restaurant. Starting to look shabby around the edges (floor taped down).

   We're not really sure what happened with our orders, but we arrived on time at 1800, we had a show booked at 1930; we were given the Theatre Menu and planned on each having 2 courses. I ordered a starter - calamari- and main- tagliatelle-, and my girls ordered a main - Margarita - planning to order dessert. My husband who had an upset tummy, just ordered a sea salt garlic bread. I asked for their main and our starters to arrive together. We ordered at 1814. Drinks arrived relatively promptly. By 1840 none of our food had arrived. The pizzas finally arrived, and I expected my calamari and the garlic bread to arrive shortly after. They didn't. Then the garlic bread arrived, but it was the wrong one, with cheese, which my husband didn't want, he just wanted something relatively plain. We had to send it back. My calamari still didn't arrive. I asked for it and it arrived about 1900. I then had to ask for my main almost immediately, so I could eat it and get to the theatre in time. We boxed up what we didn't eat and took it away, but it made stressful what was supposed to be a 17th birthday treat, dinner then the Ballet. We aren't arsey customers, and so we didn't kick up a fuss, and we were given complimentary drinks which we didn't ask for (and actually, wouldn't have wanted if asked) for our patience. (We would have chosen something else.) And then service tried to clear the label of drinks when we still had liquid in our glasses. The staff were pleasant and apologetic, but this seemed to be a failure of management, as opposed to poor service behaviour. I would have expected at least 50% off for the inconvenience as we ran out of time and couldn't order dessert. But there was no management apology and no offer of recompense. The food that did arrive was tasty, but overall, it was very disappointing experience.

    We went for pre theatre lunch here, I think most of the other diners were doing the same. It was full so there was a great atmosphere. Warm and friendly welcome and all of the staff were so friendly it was lovely. We chose the rigatoni from the pre theatre set menu and it was amazing. The whole experience, food, atmosphere, service was brilliant. Perfect! Will definitely be going back and would recommend
