We had the pre theatre fixed menu. The food was good, but we waited at least half an hour between 1st and 2nd course, and there was a further delay getting and then paying the bill. Not good when you’re going to the theatre.

My second visit to the restaurant in 5 days. The location is perfect for a pre theatre dinner if you're off to watch a show. The choice of food is really good and the atmosphere was great tonight. Unfortunately, I felt the experience tonight was by no means perfect. My friend has celiac and asked the waiter a number of questions around which food was suitable. She decided on a pizza, which could be done on a gluten free base. Our food arrived and we quickly tucked in. My friend had eaten a slice of her pizza when the manager rushed over and apologised but the wrong pizza had been delivered to our table. Another pizza (this time, gluten free) replaced it. After this, the manager stayed away and didn't come over again until we were leaving. No further apology was offered and neither was a good will gesture, given the nature of the mistake made. In fact the full service charge had been included! Had we not been in a rush to make our show, I would, without doubt, questioned this. In summary, a fabulous restaurant, good food and generally a very good service. Sadly, I'd be reluctant to recommend to anyone with a food allergy.

Restuarant has great ambience but staff seemed to struggle to cope with large number of patrons. Main course was delayed, so we had to decline a dessert as we had the pre-theatre menu and didn't have enough time for three courses. Coffee order was also incorrect which added more time. Food was very good when it eventually came.

I looked at the Cafe do Milano's menu on their website before booking and the a la carte menu looked tempting, so I booked for a Saturday lunchtime. When my friends and I turned up we were given a pre-theatre menu with 2 courses for £29.95 and 3 courses for £4 extra. For me, this was not a good option. I usually only eat a light lunch and a starter and a dessert for the 2 course offer would certainly have been very poor value for money. So, I chose a lasagne and tiramisu. The dessert was very nice, but the lasagne was heavy, with lots of chewy melted cheese and I only managed a third of it, so it was not good value for money for me. As I didn't see that the a la cart menu would not be available at lunchtime when I looked on the website, I do feel a bit mislead and think this should be made absolutely clear to potential customers. In addition, our waiter was rather miserable which did not improve the experience. Very disappointing visit and I would not go again, nor recommend it.

We booked the Pre Theatre menu. Friendly greeting on arrival. Good set menu, with something for everyone, at a reasonable price. Very good service. Didn't feel rushed at all making choices. Food was tasty. The carpaccio starter was delicious! Cocktails were also very good. An enjoyable evening.

Great place especially if visiting the theatre. Staff were really friendly and lovely inside. Food overall was excellent, though I felt my pasta chicken dish didnt contin much chicken but very tasty. The Pizza and sea bass however, were fantastic.
