   We had a table for four on a busy Saturday night. Each of us enjoyed our meals, the smash burgers are better with cheddar cheese than blue cheese, the ribs and Mediterranean chicken got thumbs up reviews. Like all popular restaurants, the ambience was LOUD. If you're looking for a quiet place to have a meal, this isn't it.

   We have eaten at this particular Mikestones several times in the past year and had an excellent experience each time. This particular time however the service was lacking and the food that I ordered left quite a bit to be desired. I indicated the fact that my food was not to my liking to our server and she said she would see what she could do but never spoke of it again. Let me add to all of this that I have worked in the service industry for the better part of 15 years. If one of your customers complains that the food isn’t quite right, well you make damn sure that that customer feels heard at the very least! Not sure if they were understaffed but regardless the client should never be left to feel as though they’re a burden! Totally unacceptable service and the manager was apparently unavailable to receive my comments.

   Our food was delicious and quickly served! Our waiter (I apologize, I have forgotten his name) was exceptional. Very courteous and a great photographer! The ambience was wonderful (Rideau side with large windows) on this Winter day. We will be back.
