   The eight of us ate in the outdoor dining area—-Ruben did an awesome job providing top level service. The other servers were right there as well. The food was exceptional and we will be back!!

   We had a lovely dinner with friends, which is the way one should enjoy Mimmo’s. The food was incredible….the polenta tasted like mamma’s, and the Isolana was one beautiful al dente forkful after the other. We had the best server and got to meet his beautiful daughter by picture. Truly a wonderful experience, but then, you will never get less at Mimmo’s.

   Was a slow night so server chatted freely with customers. Med salad was too sweet not enough olives and goat cheese was flavorless. The linguini and clams was good but the white wine garlic sauce was heavy with butter not enough garlic.

   We had a lovely dining experience. All four of us loved the olive tapenade and bread! We had different salads including the nightly special salad of burrata, tomatoes and basil. All delicious! All our various entrees and different side dishes were exceptional. Highly recommend Mimmo's. The only negative was this was one of the first really warm nights of the year and they had the AC up so high and we sat inside and it was blowing on my neck the entire evening. Other than that one distraction, everything was perfect.

   This is a terrific, long standing, classic Italian restaurant in the desert. Family owned and operated, they care, and you can tell right away when you walk in. Good value and very good food.

   I really enjoyed the classic lasagna as my entree and my husband seemed happy with the pasta special. Portions are very large. The Boccaccini and tomato salad was quite tasty but the tomatoes were not quite ripe so mine were a big crunchy and didn’t have the flavor it could have. All in all we loved the food and would go back.

    Very pleasant dinner at Mimmo last evening. Started with an Italian Pinot Grigio and their reserve Chianti, both interesting and tasty. Prosciutto and pear, and Italian sausage for starters. Generous portions and well prepared. I finished with veal ravioli which was nicely imagined. So really strong food and wine. And our server was on the ball, after a slow start. However, we were seated in the outside area which I guess used to be a patio before they enclosed it. Probably too much noise from Hwy 111. Reminded me of a trailer park (not that I have anything against trailer parks.) This restaurant cries out for a visit from Gordon Ramsay to come in and change the decor, and get rid of the patio add on. Next time we visit I’ll insist on sitting inside, which is way more like an actual Italian restaurant, and probably quite pleasant. Worth a visit for sure.
