We are open! Come and join us and check out our beautiful new bar and dining area.
The foundation of good Italian cooking is the freshest of ingredients prepared with simplicity, bringing together flavors so no one ingredient overpowers another. Mimmo’s Italian roots begin in his hometown of Bagheria, Sicily. The fresh fruits and vegetables picked from his family’s farm were on the table, or tavola, that night. Our logo of the lemon and lemon flower, or zagara, is a symbol of Sicily’s rich history of growing and exporting lemons, and a reminder of Mimmo’s many memories of lemon picking in his grandfather’s groves. APRIL 30TH 2012 WAS OUR OPENING DAY.

    We were a party of four with a reservation made one week prior. We were set in a room that was clearly a party room. Very noisy. Our table was big, really too big for four people. We could not talk to or hear each other. The pasta dishes were not good. The pasta was mushy, way over cooked. My shrimp was very strong, probably past its “best by” date. My espresso was tepid at best with grounds in the bottom of the cup. I drink an espresso after every meal out. I’ve never seen fine grounds in the bottom of the cup. Drinks were good. Would mot recommend and not be back there. Very disappointed.

    First time at Mimmo’s and it did not disappoint. My husband really enjoyed his fresh pasta and i enjoyed my salmon. Excellent service. They have small bar w/TV’s. Look forward to coming back next time we’re in town.

    Food was great… love the veal piccata! Only complaint… For a 5:30 reservation we were seated right next to the kitchen/ door, and the table was honestly too small for four people being served. There was a table right next to us that was larger inside that would’ve served us better… I should have spoken up!

    We had a great dinner. The food was very good and the service was fantastic. We think it's the best Italian restaurant in the desert area. We will be returning. Also be sure to have the tiramisu for desert. Probably the best tiramisu we ever had. This place was a nice surprise. I dont know how we had missed it on previous trips. We tend to go out to the desert at least a few weeks each year.
