First time eating at this location in Gambrill. While there are some issues with rate of service, the servers and managers were all upbeat and friendly. Gigi was a great server, knowledgeable about the menu and offered great alternatives for my sister's dietary restrictions. Fried green tomatoes were great Loved the snapper They carry Uncle Nearest I'll be back

This restaurant was not ready for light dinner service on a Sunday evening. The plates were wet, there were no clean water glasses or silverware. The food was good, but extremely salty across all main dishes. The cocktails that were delivered were not the ones ordered. We decided not to inquire about dessert. Would love to see this location become comparable to the Silver Spring location.

The service is abysmal. For the price I simply expect better service. The quality of the food was questionable. The staff clearly did not like one another and did not appear to work as a team. There was ONE server for the entire restaurant working multiple sections during our visit. The server was working hard, just not as efficiently as a more experienced server might have. The bar tender and manager were very attentive to a lady at the bar but ‘service’ seemed to stop there. At one point after eating the flaming hot jerk egg rolls no one at our table had anything to drink but there were 3 male staff members (one of which was the manager) huddled around the woman at the bar. We were seated less than 12 inches away from them as the bartender was no longer behind the bar, but standing right behind the woman seated. I actually had to walk up to the bar to get the drink that I ordered… the bartender said he had no idea where the drink was supposed to go. It had been sitting out there for a while… at least 3 other drinks were made and had come and gone after my drink was made. Again, a server issue but the lack of teamwork in the establishment was noticeable. The macaroni and cheese did not appear to be fresh. The sauce that was supposed to be served with my entree was brought out later after I asked about it and appeared to have a film on top of it as if it had been sitting out. The collard greens were ice cold… not even warm. The food runner offered to “heat them up” for me. They weren’t really that tasty so I ended up not even eating them or the mac n cheese or the ‘sauce’. I paid for the food but will likely not return.

Amazing atmosphere, beautiful decor for pictures. The food is amazing, just as great as North Carolina cooking. The Mac & cheese is straight out of Thanks giving. The drinks are nice and strong too! Most try the spinach dip, the chips are fluffy and amazing!

My resignation was for 4:45 p.m. we arrived early and were seated. The waiter came by and took our drink orders at 5;15 p.m. my wife was ready to leave then. The restaurant was not busy at all. At 5:28 p.m. I received my drink a Diet soda, nothing complicated we placed our food order. We never received the food, others that arrived long after us were served but my wife and I talked to the receptionist and departed. We were very happy about trying the restaurant, but they don’t have their stuff together yet.

The name in the outside shingle is Miss Toya’s Southern Brunch. We showed up on Sunday during brunch time, mouth waters for brunch and they said “they don’t do brunch.” Wait, what?! *eye-roll. After we got past that huge disappointment we decided to stay and order from the lunch/dinner menu at 12:30pm. The food was good. Our party of 4 was pleased. Service was outstanding. It wasn’t jam packed like most newly opened food spots are. All in all we will return, but at dinner time.

Last night was our first time eating at the Gambrills location. From the moment our table of 4 sat down, we had a great experience. Food, atmosphere and our waitress was amazing. I would highly recommend the shrimp and grits. Great place to eat with your family or friends.
