Welcome to Mission Navy Yard, a lively bar and restaurant located adjacent to Nationals Park and Audi Field. Known for our vibrant bar scene, daily happy hour, spacious private event and outdoor spaces and delicious Tex-Mex food, we opened in July 2018. Our sister restaurant, Mission Dupont Circle, has been serving strong margaritas and tasty tacos since 2014.

We refuse to believe that a restaurant only has one purpose: we aim to provide a bustling bar scene, comfortable dining and versatile private event spaces that can accommodate groups of all sizes. Our spaces are created to be welcoming for brunch, happy hour, dinner and private events, as well as those looking to rewind in a vibrant weekend late night atmosphere.

    All was great: food and service and overall game-day vibe. It was a tad loud, so conversation had to wait until we walked across the street into the stadium.

    We were seated outside, which was fine, except the volume from the bar. TV screens was so loud, we could not even have a conversation. The volume was excessive and made the experience really unenjoyable. The TV were set to football games, so there was no need to have the volume so loud.

    The food was delicious and overall, it was a fun ambiance. Very crowded and loud on a Saturday night, so I was glad we were able to sit outside.

    The noise level of the music should be dialed back when the restaurant isn’t full. It was too loud for conversation.

    They sat us at a table before the waiter of that section even arrived for his shift. Then pitcher of margaritas was all ice.

    Had a 5pm reservation. The bouncer said he had to card us even though we told him we were going up to the restaurant, then waved us through without showing IDs. Weird interaction. The food was excellent. Our server was very good. But the music was SO loud that we couldn’t even talk to the person sitting next to across from us with yelling. We all have sore throats today (the day after we ate dinner there). If you’re looking for a bar to hang out at, perfect. Would not recommend for dinner if you actually want to talk to your companion(s). Didn’t expect to walk into a club at 5pm. Don’t think we will be back.
