   Had a lovely Christmas Eve lunch with my sisters and their husbands. The food was excellent, our server was wonderful and we all raved about what a good time we had - its on the list for an annual event. Now we want to go back and do the spa - really lovely!

   The Mission Inn Is our go to for great restaurants. The service is always great and the atmosphere is just lovely. Can't beat the Mission Inn for consistency and value.

   We tried with some friends during Magical Dining. I understand it a reduced menu for a lower price but no sides at all with your entree, and to substitute a gluten free option of sorbet instead of the three options is a charge. The appetizers were good and our entrees were good. Our server, Jasmyn was excellent.

   I wanted to love this experience. The Mission Inn is historical and beautiful. We attended Magical Dining event. The promoted price was $40 per plate, but everything was a la carte, so our dinner for 4, advertised at $120, quickly ballooned to $265. Ok, it's expensive. But here is where a fine dining experience goes south. First, 6 ounces of average wine should not cost $20. The wine glasses are huge and require two hands to drink. Our waiter didn't bring the complimentary bread basket with the salads and appetizers. We requested it, and the kitchen needed 20 minutes to accommodate the request because they needed to cook more. The dinner quickly turns "family style" with sharable sides. We ordered three sides because none of the entrees included a vegetable. I understood the "a la carte" concept and hearing "that will be an extra charge" over and over was not necessary. We had 10 plates on the table because everything came on a separate place, and we ended up stacking bread plates and side plates ourselves to make room. That ruins a fine dining experience. The dessert offerings featured a bread pudding. The waiter said this was great, so naturally, everyone ordered it. Despite having a 5 pm early reservation, the restaurant reported it was sold out about an hour later. We settled for the key lime pie and an after-dinner coffee. Our waiter dropped off the pie and completely forgot the coffee. He returned to the table twice, was reminded, and still it never came. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. The food was cooked well. The ambience was excellent. But a definite fail on the details.

   From entry to exit, the customer service was amazing. Dylan was our server and gave us so many helpful tips for choosing items that were most popular at the restaurant. He checked on us and other tables to make sure all was well. This restaurant participated in the Magical Dining experience, where you choose from a specific menu made up of their favorites and pay a flat fee per guest for a three course meal. The food was good. The portion size was good (we saw many people leave with to go boxes (we did too). I would recommend this restaurant. The area is gorgeous and green from the golf course.

    The food is great, kudos to the chef. We have enjoyed a few meals here when staying at the resort. We made a reservation for our dinner. You should definitely always have a reservation even when the place looks completely empty because they will turn you away and tell you more people are coming, even though we never saw all of the people they were talking about. The service on the night of this review was not good at all. We sat at our table for 13 minutes before anyone came to greet us and get our drink order. It was like they didn’t even notice we were sat and our table was in the middle of the dining area. Servers did not get order correct. Server did not check on us throughout meal. When we were finished with the meal, it took a very long time to get dessert, so I asked for it to go and the bill. Very unhappy about the service as it was my birthday celebration.
