Mita's, the second restaurant from acclaimed Chef Jose Salazar, is named after his Colombian grandmother - his "Mita." The beautiful 130 seat restaurant designed by MSA Architects is located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati at the corner of Fifth and Race Streets on the ground floor of the 84.51 Building. Mita's eclectic, farm inspired menu focuses on both the traditional and modern foods and beverages of Spain and Latin America, with tapas, ceviches, cured hams, cheeses and large plates.

    Mita’s is always so good, but this experience was just extremely good value for the amount of food and the family style was fun with our little group. Hoping the shrimp can permanently stay on the menu in 2025 - pretty please!

    Tonight we had some of our favorites such as the gambas and patatas bravas, and discovered new delights like the cannelloni . The trio of dessert dishes was delicious. As always, the service was excellent!

    A fabulous experience. The tapas type menu selection is perfect for sharing with family and friends. The food quality and taste were excellent! Great service and ambiance for a date night, special occasion, or just enjoying some tasty eats. We love wine and the wine menu and selections were perfect

    We went to a special event sunday supper. Apps were perfectly matched. Three cheeses and two sasuages with great tasting olive medley. Salad was citrus based with shallots. The shishuto peppers were an excellent addition. Second course were outstanding lamb cannellonis with salsa and bechamel sauce. Shrimp in garlic sauce was tasty as well as the grilled squash. The fried potato edges coated with spices finished the course. Desert was buttery shortbread with filling (very tasty) and a unique pistachio torrone. We cannot be enthusiastic enough about the meal. And added positive was that the service was perfect. Thanks

    We visited Mita’s for Sunday supper. From beginning to end it was wonderful as always. Food outstanding, service top notch. Stars of the evening were Ensalada Mixta, Gambas Ajiollo, Calabaza Asada and my favorite Turin De Pistacho. Chef Salazar was working the pass like a magician. A very special evening indeed.

    The family-style dinner was great! It provided a variety of great food options, some of which I probably wouldn't have tried otherwise. As usual, the service was great too!

    OMG. Everything at the special Sunday night family dinner was so delicious. We should have gotten more items to go, because it was more food than we needed to eat. But eat it we did. Seamless service. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the New Year a few days early.
