   Miyo’s is obviously a favorite with the locals in Hilo. It is located in an unassuming strip mall, but fills the tables even on weekdays. The bartender went above and beyond to concoct a lovely mocktail that wasn’t on the menu based on my preferred flavor profile since I was driving. We tried dishes from both the kitchens and food was delicious. The kale mushroom salad was excellent and the chef’s special chimichurri teriyaki steak is a must try!

   In general everyone is nice and works hard to be sure we are getting the best service and our food is hot when it get to you . Hi top bar worker (who makes the sushi greets us by our name you don’t see that in other restaurants. Sorry Brother I don’t remember his name 🫢 we always have a great experience, even if we came in crumbling with each other we always enjoy our selfs at the end of the night . Thanks to everyone who always makes our visit returnable.

   Excellent food, friendly and efficient servers, and great ambiance! At the suggestion of my server, I ordered the sautéed ahi with eggplant, which was excellent… very fresh, flavorful and attractively plated. For dessert, I had the mango guava cheesecake, which was amazing! The restaurant also offers a wide selection of craft beers. I will definitely return, the next time I’m in Hilo!

   While the hostess was not the friendliest when we arrived, our server Grace was phenomenal and went completely above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! The food and ambiance were fantastic and I would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone!

    Disappointing evening there. I had the nights special miso butterfish. One of the most expensive items on the menu. It was very salty and mushy. I should have had a spoon to eat it. Service was good. Nice hard working waitress
