I recently visited Montana’s Merivale and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience primarily due to the service provided by the receptionist. Despite arriving an hour earlier than our reservation, and noticing the restaurant wasn't busy, I was told they couldn't accommodate us until 6:30 pm. After modifying my reservation to 5:45 pm, I was able to be seated, but by then, our mood was already spoiled. I have been a frequent visitor to this place with my daughter, but after this experience, I believe this will be our last visit. It's disheartening to have a restaurant we've enjoyed in the past be tarnished by poor customer service. I hope they improve their approach to accommodating guests in the future.

We often have the same waiter (who is great), always smiling and ready to help - napkins, water, utensils etc. He’s a big reason we keep coming back!

Don’t get me wrong, the food was good. Although the coleslaw could be better, it had no flavor. I gave 2 stars for overall because the food took foreverrrrrrr to come out. My reservation was at 615, and food wasn’t served til 717. Over an hour!?! Party of 3 ordered two rib dinners and a steak. No starters. That’s unacceptable. Next time I may consider going somewhere less tasty, but with better service. Montanas, how can you make this better?
