   Sadly had a bad experience at a place I used to like. Made a reservation for me and wife for valentines which included a menu with wine pairing. Arrived at the restaurant and was told they were out of it , but “if really wanted chef can make something” .. okay. Proceded to order from menu, they were out of the dishes I ordered. Then staff brought one of the dishes I was told they were out? .. left overs? It did not look appealing.. server noticed and started bringing more free plates on the house , flavors were not there and also ruined what could’ve been a great dining experience

   Maybe it was an off night; reservation at 6:30 and we have to pick up a kiddo at 8:30pm on 31 Jan. - Seated promptly - Drinks in 15 minutes - Bread to the table at 45 minutes - Forgot our appetizer; offered to remove it from the bill but provided it. (Thank You) - Main course brought at 7:30; informed waiter we needed to leave at 8:15 to pick up kiddo - Ordered dessert to go at 8:00 and requested check - Check received and paid w/tip. - Noticed (after paying) that several courses on our check were not ours (my wife is observant); the appetizer was not on the bill but two other appetizers were - Informed the waiter. - 8:20: no dessert, no adjustment to check - 8:25: dessert brough, not adjustment to check (we paid ~$25 for someone else's meal) Wait staff was very good so assume this was an off night- my bad for not more carefully reviewing the check.....

   This place use to be one of our go-to restaurants but on our last visit, the menu had totally changed as had the chef. We used to go for the excellent pinsas, but now the pinsa options were drastically reduced and a lot of our favorite dishes were gone. The food was ok, but not as good as it had been (e.g., the original pinsas and octopus). They also used to accommodate a butter pasta for kids, but this time made it seem like a difficult unusual request. Moreover the saddest part was the decline in the ambiance. The mood of the place was desolate, depressed, no energy with disgruntled staff yelling and overall not an enjoyable environment or experience. Sadly, we will have to find another place for pinsas/pizzas.

   Our servers were delightful- but we were very disappointed that our favorite dessert - pistachio cream on pinsa dough - had been taken off the menu and a new chef was now “entree forward.” My pork shoulder meal was outstanding.

   What a treat to find fresh sardines on the menu. I wish there were more than two. They were gone in a flash. Our waitress, Erin, was both professional and warm. She accommodated our interest in the red wines by the glass and our need to leave early. This was our first visit. Next time, we will allow more time to explore the interesting and creative menu.

   This smaller version of Montesacro Pinseria is great for many reasons, including location, availability and friendly service. The food is consistently delicious-seasonal salads, pastas and pinsas are amazing. Server Erin was smart (we ordered the wrong wine & she kindly gave us a taste before we ended up with sparkling), friendly, and paced our courses perfectly. Can’t wait to return!

   The food was delicious. Service was wonderful. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The ambiance is quaint, cozy and comfortable. The restaurant was full and yet it was easy to have a comfortable conversation. The acoustics are good. The menu includes gluten free items for those who cannot tolerate gluten. I will return for certain.
