Morimoto Asia is Chef Masaharu Morimoto first pan-Asian restaurant. The creativity of Chef Morimoto is already one of the most inventive forces in Asian cuisine. This culinary destination includes unique exhibition kitchens that showcase traditions like Peking duck carving and dim sum. Morimoto Asia’s eye-catching, 36-foot tall, two-story layout includes lounges, private dining spaces, and an exhibition glass encased kitchen that allows guests a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the culinary action. The second-level sushi bar and lounge have a separate entrance.

Morimoto Asia is located at The Landing at Disney Springs, an entertainment-dining-retail district. With an overhaul and re-branding of this portion of Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Springs will present a fresh and new face to the magical kingdom that is sure to be an extraordinary experience.

Only weird bit was the fried rice was the last thing to arrive. But given how busy it was that could have been the reason.

                                                                              Non-sushi menu is thin however everything was tasty and presented beautifully on the plate. We had Chilean sea bass, ribs and a couple of rice dishes, very flavorful and nicely done. Appetizers were dumpling, spider maki and oysters, overall we had a good time, the restaurant was super busy, a testament to their popularity and creativity.

                                                                              We made reservations for 2:15 for a party of 6. When we got there, we were told that they were running about 20 minutes late on reservations, while another family of 7 sat right in at the walk-in area ( we weren’t offered that). We waited about 30 minutes to be seated, and the service was very slow, lots of people waiting for tables, while we counted 6 empty tables from 4 to 6 places, at some point. Bad experience. Seems like lack of planning of management on their part. I’m a Morimoto fan, but I don’t think I’m eating here again.

                                                                              The meal was excellent. The food was very delicious, and the service was top-notch. The only issue was the one-hour wait to be seated. While we recognize it was a holiday and probably one of the busiest days of the year, folks in our party were getting antsy after waiting 30 minutes. All said, however, the dining experience at Morimoto was amazing.

                                                                              We were really pleased with our dining experience. We found Morinoto Asia on the Michelin app and were able to snag a random reservation on Xmas Day. As a result, service was a little slower. The restaurant was fully booked. Everything was excellent. We got the Shumai, Kung Pao Cauliflower, California roll and shihito peppers for the appetizers. The tupacshulager beer and morimoto's sake over ice with lemon peel were both surprisingly excellent. (Never had sake over ice, rethinking that now for at home.) For the main, the 4 of us had the Duck Ramens, the pork Ramen, lettuce cups and shrimp lo mein. All excellent. Finished with dessert, the matcha mousse with raspberry jam and raspberries. We wouldn't do the lettuce cups again, a bit salty. We all were enamored the Korean Hot Stone dish we kept seeing go to other tables. We also would try a different dessert. The matcha mousse was fine, just missing the finish to match the rest of the meal. Also, our server was pretty fantastic. Warm, sincere, well-informed, and made good suggestions. We should have ordered the cheesecake as she recommended. The 1 meal regret. Totally go. It's was solid.
