   Our meal at Moss was exceptional from beginning to end. Our drive up from Reykjavik wasn’t the greatest; wind, rain, snow, and our gps told us the road we were on wasn’t passable when we knew the Blue Lagoon was nearby. We called and the staff was able to guide us quickly so we weren’t late. Once there, we were seated and immediately asked for our drink order. The staff was professional but engaging. We were asked a few times if we would like to take a break between courses and took them up once. The food was fantastic and beautiful. The atmosphere was lovely, modern, and comfortable. Overall it was a 10/10 experience!

   Exceptional Experience at Moss! Moss offers a breathtaking dining experience with stunning views and innovative Icelandic cuisine. Each dish is a testament to the finest local ingredients, presented with creativity and precision. The service is warm and professional, making the experience even more special. As a non-alcoholic guest, I was pleased to enjoy their exquisite sparkling tea, proving that Moss caters to all preferences.    A lovely experience from start to finish. Staff was very attentive with excellent service. The taste and presentation of the food was spectacular as well. The details, the complexity, and the flavors truly came through in each plate. Well done Chef and Team

   I definitely enjoyed the meal but I should note we came in the end of October. We drove from Reykjavík at night - we got lost around the property because the signage at the Blue Lagoon/Retreat hotel were all iced over so we couldn’t read them and there were no lights illuminating the signs. There were not a lot of lights around the property in general and thw GPS was getting confused. During one part of the drive, it wanted us to go off road to get to the entrance (which is something one must never do in Iceland). The restaurant is in the Retreat hotel which is a beautiful facility but there was no valet so it was self park then short walk in the cold to the entrance (surprising for a hotel that charges $1500 a night). The meal itself was wonderful and hearty but not heavy. The ingredients were wholesome and flavorful but not salty. I finished the meal feeling satisfied which is a good place to be. I’ve had other Michelin starred tasting menus leaving me overly full and borderline sick but not this one. I think it may be because the ingredients they used were so clean and the accompanying sauces were given in measured portions. Honestly, it would have been a stellar experience if not for the logistical issues we experienced trying to get there.

    Absolutely incredible meal. Excellent service from everyone. We especially loved our waitress. Truly a special experience and I might have to splurge on this every time I am in Iceland.
