We love mashed potato - it's the food equivalent of a great big hug. Our mash is made with only the very best Maris Piper potatoes - and it's made fresh. Not that day, not that hour, but right before you tuck in. That way it still has the creamy fluffy texture we've whipped into it.
Add a piping hot pie, free range sausages or vegetarian option.. pour on your choice of fresh gravy.. and you'r done. Feel all warm and friendly.

    Even Bodger & Badger would turn this mash down! Avoid at all costs! I had read the reviews and thought I’d give it the benefit of the doubt. Wish I hadn’t, this is a shocking place. The cauliflower cheese is watery, mushy peas are a very odd colour and from a can, the pies are cold, spiced veg and Camembert had no Camembert in it and the horseradish mash is mash with horseradish on the side. The worst part is, they use SMASH :D claiming its real mash made from piper potatoes. Avoid at all costs, esp if you’re British. This is shocking

    Everyone who worked here and served us were lovely, great personalities and fantastically simple food. Perfect comfort eat shared with my parents.

    Ottimo ristorante con piatti tipicamente inglesi.ampia scelta anche per vegetariani.locale in zona strategica ma comunque tranquillo. Personale estremamente gentile.ci ritornerò di sicuro.

    Popped in for lunch as we were heading to an event nearby. Lovely lunch - simple but very tasty and good value. Lovely friendly service in the main (one person seemingly didn’t want to be there based on their attitude but our other waitress was lovely and chatted to us about shared interests in music as we were going to meet Norman Cook later that afternoon). Would definitely visit again.

    What’s not to like! So many good pie, sausage, mash and gravy options. All washed down with a great glass of red wine. Great tasting and good value for money. The hungry among us have pie & mash with a side order of sausages. It was super busy so service was busy, but where isn’t in the Westend on a Saturday afternoon.

    Very disappointing compared to my first visit last year - small portions, cramped and hot (I had the pleasure of condensation from the rooflights dripping on me throughout the meal) and staff were a bit chaotic (including getting asked to pay the bill twice)

    Was sad that the Christmas special pie was not available, had the special sausage of the day, it was good. Service was very good and had a nice table for two in a corner.
