We had a 5 PM reservation as it was our anniversary. The place was empty so they just sat us at a booth. The tabletops felt like they had glue on them..not sure what type of cleaner they use. The waitress was friendly and the food was okay. No mention about our anniversary which is fine, but why ask if it is a special occasion when you make a reservation if it is not going to be recognized,

This restaurant was ok. Certainly nothing special. Also very overpriced! Our server was lovely but had a hard time explaining why their steak knives wouldn’t cut the steak. Had a glass of their in house wine & it was delicious!

We made a reservation, but there was confusion as to which table we were at. Only 2 other tables were occupied at the time. The waitress was friendly, very talkative and attentive, but didn't listen. It took an hour to get our food after the waitress telling us they had overdone the one steak and she had refused to serve it. This mean't that when we did get food, everyone elses' was cold. The replacement steak was extremely tough, but at this point we had waited so long that we didn't want to delay anymore. Only 1 refill allowed on the Lemonade and a big fuss made when we ordered a 2nd refill. $200, 2 hours and mediocre food and service for 3 people in an empty restaurant does not bode well for the future.

We were waiting for about 15 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order (after getting up and asking to have our order taken). After asking that the food order was taken quickly. The food itself was very good. They overcharged the bill and rectified it. Unfortunately we had limited time and because of the delay in first taking our order coupled with the lengthy wait for food we didn’t get to properly enjoy our stay. We’ve had better experiences there before so we’ll probably give it another chance .

Specifically asked for a table not a booth in reservation they tried putting us at a booth, we asked to switch. Terrible service, waitress was by far the worst we encountered at Mr. Mikes, 2 steaks going to wrong people, food was ok not great. Couldn’t find waitress for 10 minutes so finally we just went up to the front to pay. She couldn’t figure out how to split the bills ( tried 5 times) still wrong, we just figured it out ourselves after we left. She kept saying how overworked she was and how tired she was. Not my problem, it’ll be awhile before I return to Mr. Mikes in winkler

Miss leading menu, Smuggler's Cove Chicken states "topped with scallops & prawns sautéed with fresh tomato, green onion in cajun butter. Served with jasmine rice, fresh vegetables." Average size chicken breast with decent flavour, did NOT get prawns, but average size shrimp and the so-called scallops were a few pieces about the size of a kidney bean! Rice was completely boring, fresh veggies were some overdone rubbery carrots. Took quite a while to get our food (way more than 30 minutes), our server was very good and friendly. A complete disappointment for what I experienced a few years ago.
