   Overall very disappointed with our meal. Our drinks took a good while to arrive, we ordered wine but the waiter just plonked the bottle on the table, didn’t open the bottle for us and we had do this and to pour our first glass ourselves… in fact we didn’t even have time to enjoy our first glass of wine before the food arrived less than a few minutes after we ordered it. The food clearly had been plated up hours before and re- heated with the gravy being poured on our plate over it instead if it arriving separately. Food was really not worth the price. It tasted re- heated and it tasted no differently from a well known frozen food manufacturers, the gravy was clearly branded granules mixed into a liquid. All the food was tasteless and not one item we were served looked freshly made, the carrots were grey. We ate what we had to as we were very hungry, but we did not order pudding, apart from my young son who needed his calories. We were disappointed as for the location and the price we experienced below par food, we eat out a lot in a variety of eateries ranging from a Michelin stared Kitchen to a MacDonalds and the food quality we were served today would have been lucky to pass itself off at a Toby Carvery.

   The service was almost too fast - a 3 course meal in about an hour! It did feel a little rushed. Lovely food quality at a very reasonable price. Had a very interesting cocktail called a Corpsegrinder No2! Lovely open fire made it quite cosy. Would definitely recommend as a post-theatre dinner of great quality at a reasonable price.

   Afternoon tea was lovely, all the food was beautiful and fresh and the staff were so friendly and attentive

   We really enjoyed our lunch at The Mulberry Tree. The food was good and the service was great. Ben was friendly and professional. We were impressed.

   We had heard great reports about the restaurant as it was my birthday it was a treat, however I had ordered the venison pie and asked to swap the mash for fries as a change so no mash however when it arrived no toppling so I asked the waiter where was the pastry top? He said oh sorry it comes with a mash top had this been the case I would've chosen another dish very disappointed, we were sat by the by a draughty window with the radiator switched off underneath very disappointed so we will not be returning or recommending on this occasion !

   The Mulberry Tree at the Mount Pleasant is our go to restaurant for New Years Eve and as usual it didn’t disappoint. They provided a special menu for the evening as well as the regular menus so there was plenty of choice. We had three courses and liquor coffee’s and couldn’t fault any of it. We had olives then the Crab and Prawn starters followed by venison then Crème brûlée for me and poached pears for my husband. All were delicious. Our server, Ben was polite and chatty as always and made us feel very welcome and to feel like valued customers as he remembered us as soon as we arrived. We enjoyed our visit and will be back, we highly recommend you give it a try.

    New year’s set menu was tasty and well-presented. Service was a little rushed at times. Only disappointment was the lack of alcohol-free options (one low-alcohol lager) - rare to not have a Prosecco/0% spirit on a menu nowadays and feels a bit sad having a juice with such a nice meal.
