Not great. The big draw on their menu, soft shell spicy crab, was not available (are they ever?). The chosen alternative, onion bhajis were dry & stodgy. When questioned they confirmed that they had been microwaved!! The curries were OK at best. The young guy who serviced us however was great, hence 2 stars!

The food was delicious, all really good flavours and the grilled meats were excellent. Highly recommend the Tarka Dahl too. We had good fast service too.

The food was very good. The service was poor. Two hours waiting for the main course. Be wary if you are going to a show in the Jazz Cafe, give yourself lots of time.

They gave our table of 6 away because "oh well it's Saturday night and it's busy." I've never had this happen to me in decades of dining out. Very shabby.

Terrible experience. The waiter was trying to speed us up and kept trying to say we had to give the table back in an hour and we had barely sat down. We ended up just walking straight out. Whatever happened to customer service and just general decency for paying customers? Was a shame really

When we sat down, we were given a “special” Valentine's Day menu at £42.50 a head. If we'd agreed to this, it would have cost us over £125 including service and the bottle of wine we ordered, which was £26.50 despite being advertised on the restaurant's website at £19.95. We asked for the regular menu but we were told we couldn't have it. We got up to leave and were reluctantly told that we could order from the regular menu but would have to go and stand at the bar to place the order. Why? A lame attempt to make us feel cheap, no doubt. Another customer approached us and said he'd made his reservation by phone, and had been given no warning about the “special” menu. Another group arrived, and had to go through the same nonsense of having to stand at the bar in order to choose from the regular menu. By the time we were leaving, the staff were finally letting people peruse the regular menu from their tables. A number of tables remained empty throughout, even though it was Valentine's Day, and a Friday. I hope the management will think twice about pulling this sort of stunt in future.
