Nami Nori is a casual, Japanese restaurant specializing in open-style temaki hand rolls, located in Montclair. The menu features signature hand rolls, including crunchy varieties, as well as classic versions, and a special vegan section. Japanese-inspired dishes from the kitchen and desserts are also on offer.

We accept reservations up to 30 days in advance. Please note that the grace period is 10 minutes for guests who are running late. We kindly ask that guests respect our dinner seating times of 1 hr 30 minutes for parties up to 3 and 2 hours for parties of 4-5, and 2 hr 30 minutes for parties of 6 or more.

There’s nothing better than sitting at the Temaki Counter and having the chef personally hand you each piece! This chef interactive reservation will be at the Temaki counter, which is a high top format. Please note, due to demand, we can’t guarantee that we’ll have the ability to move this reservation to a different table type or dining area.
Indoor Tables
Multiple dates available
Grab a seat in our indoor dining room and enjoy a server driven experience! This reservation will be seated at a traditional table inside. Reservations at tables will receive their Temaki in complete sets. To guarantee the most crisp nori, each piece will be wrapped in a plant based wrapper that you’ll remove when you’re ready to enjoy! Please note, due to demand, we can’t guarantee that we’ll have the ability to move this reservation to a different table type or dining area.

Was looking for a place of convenience to meet up with some family for lunch and found this online. Some of the most magnificent food I have had in a while! The place is tiny but spotlessly clean. Everything on the menu sounded wonderful and everything we ordered was delicious. Fresh, Beautifully presented and sooooo yummy. We will definitely be back!

Always a wonderful experience. Food is so fresh and delicious. Most importantly is the service. They are so welcoming and they treat everyone like regulars. I have never felt rushed and have the service is a huge reason in why I keep coming back.

Service was inattentive and unfriendly except for the host. Table was not cleared quickly and water glasses were never refilled without asking. General affect of the servers was not friendly.

Absolutely love the food it’s always so fresh and presented impeccably! The staff is so friendly and nice we really appreciate their attention to detail and communication with one another! It’s our second time here and will definitely come back. The ambience is amazing too can get loud but it’s so worth it!

It great place to eat. I would reserve seats at the bar instead of a table. It allows you to savor each Temaki piece.
