   National was a great date night for my wife and I. Energetic comfortable great service and good food. Ordered some oriental inspired tater tots. Very good but a little over salted. The mushroom pizza with white sauce and truffle oil was superb. It’s a must try for funghi fans. Throw in a great glass of cider and it made for a great experience. I don’t know if it was because it was Valentine’s Day or not but their pizza, 16” by the way was 25% off. We will definitely repeat!

   The music was to loud in IMO but that’s a preference, also with the open dining room concept more noise is to be expected. The food was fantastic and portions generous, service was as good as you’d expect at this price point. All in all, I’ll be back !

   Our waitor was not good. He barely came to the table to make sure our drinks were full, served me a flat beer and even warned me it would be flat but never came back to check, and just overall was not very good at his job.

   Tried the Ahi Tuna Bowl. (Safari) Liked everything but the tuna. It was very salty.

   Evan was our server and he was great, giving us status updates and checking up on us as our food was delayed. Kitchen was short staffed and you could tell. My crab dip was cold and I am not sure if it was to be served hot. My fries were also cold, which was not complimentary to my chicken sandwich which was warm. Food was otherwise delicious, just need more temperature control. The restaurant also appeared to be short staffed on servers, who seemed to be stretched too much. Suggest to manage the staffing levels a bit higher for the festive busy period. I also found it’s very loud and difficult to converse across our table of 6. Definitely some opportunities for improvement.

   Great place to meet up with friends for lunch. Food was good, service was great. Able to alter menu items to accommodate celiac vegan diet, appreciate that.

    I had the tuna poke (excellent) and my lunch partner had the burger, which she said was very good. However, the national has instituted a new rule on substitutions and she wanted to substitute a green salad for French fries. That entailed adding $3 to her meal which in my mind is not a good PR move. Our server was absolutely excellent, very accommodating and very attentive.
