   It was a great atmosphere! The food was good but not great. The service was a bit slow to begin with and our nigiri was very slow to the point where we had to remind the server about 40 minutes into the meal. I’ve had better karage and the nigiri was not great (the cuts of meat should have been thinner and more delicate instead of overly fat and chewy). Mains were good! I am willing to try again.

   We arrived for a late lunch/early dinner and had the pleasure of virtually having the entire restaurant to ourselves. The consistency of their cuisine and service has impressed us during our previous visits. Their retro decor and izakaya-style dishes are particularly noteworthy.

   If you've been to Raisu and you like their food, New Fuji is like a spinoff that you will like for sure. We highly recommend the battera sushi. It is a burst of flavours that harmonizes in your mouth. We will be back for dinner for sure!
