   The food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed the meals they ordered, and we could tell the pasta was homemade. Everything was fresh and tasty. The wine and mocktails were great too.

   We booked a reservation for six people on Christmas Eve. It was our first time dining at Nicola. The special Christmas Eve menu offered a wonderful range of options, and we all found several things to enjoy across the courses. Our server was spectacular - she was helpful, responsive, and kind. The food and drinks came out quickly and at the perfect temperature. Everything was delicious. I had spent a lot of time choosing a restaurant for Christmas Eve. I wanted to go somewhere that took this occasion seriously and would make it feel special for our family. Nicola surpassed my greatest expectations, and I felt like we were truly able to enjoy this dinner together in a restaurant that understood the meaning of the day. There was not a single flaw. We will definitely return!

   Food was wonderful, service was very slow the second half of our time there. Seemed as though the restaurant filled quickly around 7 and server fell behind. Busy night for them and won't dissuade us from returning, great restaurant all around

   Rarely am I compelled to write a review, but the overall experience was underwhelming at best so I am writing this review hoping that management would like to improve what could be a great place to go. First, the tables are cramped and every guest brushes against the next. Second, the staff is under trained and no management seems to be present to assist when waitstaff and is struggling. Third, the food is outdated however the menu options are nice if the preparation and appearance could be updated it would go a long way. Finally, attention after the meal is served would be helpful.. from empty drinks to waiting for the check for 30 minutes to finally being charged incorrectly.

   One of our go-to restaurants in the Columbus, OH area - never disappoints. Chefs Nicola's specials are really special; home made pasta; excellent sauces, mostly non-red. Nice wine selection. Service always top-notch, this time Gina helped make it a great evening out

   When ordering, I should have asked the price of the "Special" which our waitress narrated to us, as it turned out to be pretty expensive compared to the chicken dishes on the menu. That is why I did not rate VALUE as a 5, but a 4. Otherwise, everyone at our table seemed very happy with the food. The noise level was "energetic", as the open table system likes to explain the highest level, when all the tables are filled and everyone is trying to converse... That is why I did not rate AMBIENCE as a 5, but a 4. Otherwise, I very much enjoyed the holiday decorations and the low-level background music. We hope to return again during warmer weather to try the outdoor seating.
