   Dining experience? Never happened. I booked online several weeks in advance. I received multiple reminders and requests to confirm my reservation via Open Table. I confirmed. We showed up at the right place, at the right time. The restaurant was CLOSED. The sign on the door showed it was only open for dinner hours. This is a failure on the part of both Nicolas Cocina de Herencia and Open Table, and really a poor experience from start to finish. I'm sure someone will delete this review since it isn't about the dining experience, but I hope it stays up to give an example of the overall experience. My family is in the restaurant business, and I know this can be done better.

   Truly amazing food that rivals some of the best we’ve had in Mexico City. Possibly the best meal we’ve had in many years. Am trying to figure when we’re coming back (soon) so we can try the rest of the menu!

   The bone marrow with either corn or shrimp is must have dish. It is a large appetizer, so I recommend it be shared. The pork shank was awesome. Can't wait to go back.

   Outstanding! The service is exemplary, all staff is attentive and kind. The food and the drinks are delicious and came out very fast! I got the poblano enchiladas, they were loaded with chicken and sauce. Unfortunately, I can’t handle spicy food, however this dish was perfect and did not lack authenticity.

   Enchiladas and Carne Asada were amazing as well the ambience of the restaurant. My only issue was no complimentary chips and salsa.

   Nicolas’s is beautiful. The food was daring, delicious and such a surprise. This is not your standard taqueria, it is a beautiful experience. The owners and chefs have brought their family recipes and then added something else. Very enjoyable and great evening.

    The ambiance was beautiful, delicious cuisine, service was great . The cost is high, we paid $45 for a small portion Fajita!!
