I’ve come here for the amazing sushi menu, and unfortunately they’ve just cut down on it just when I thought I’ve found a staple. Hope they’d consider bringing the menu back.

The sushi is delicious!!! The family loved it so much. The music was quite loud though.

Don't trust the website/advertisements. The menu on their website is about 3x the size of the menu they give you when you arrive. There is no sushi boat like advertised on instagram, and they were out of a lot of the drinks that were on their tiny menu as well. The tables were also too small to fit everything we ordered? I felt bad for the poor server who had to deal with upset customers on either side of us.

Don’t go here if you’re expecting a normal sit-down restaurant. Even with a reservation, we were offered high top seating (not even facing each other) in the bar area. Staff came over to us and told us to go to the bar if we want drinks… wtf? Honestly left feeling pretty disrespected and dismissed by the staff.

Probably the best vegan place in town. Delicious, creative, and innovative.

The DIneLA menu was a great value, allowing us to sample a variety of the creative and flavorful vegan sushi. The margarita and Nancy Silverton dessert included in that menu were truly bonuses. Even without those extras, the regular menu price is very reasonable given the quantity and quality of food. Although the volume of the music was far too loud, the manager, Mauricio, was sympathetic and responsive, and turned it down twice upon request. He came to the table twice to make sure all was well.

Came here for a dineLA dinner… Great decor, ambience and service. The food was unbelievably delicious given that it was all vegan. There was one deep fried sushi roll that meh.. but everything else in the bento bod was yummy… and the Nancy’s Fancy gelato was exceptional. Overall excellent value. Will definitely return.

I will start on a high note saying the physical restaurant and the waitress were exemplary and very pleasant. Yet I am sorry to say that my feelings about the food are not as effusive. While the ingredients were fresh and good, I was expecting the vegan sushi to be quite a bit more interesting and complex than it was. It was good quality, it was edible, and I wasnt stuffed after, but if asked how I enjoyed the meal I can only shrug my shoulders and say "By and large, it was just ok"... I was somewhat disappointed in the LA dine meal which had 3 different dishes containing the congee tuna. It was good but did not do the best job it could of showcasing the restaurant. The prepackaged gelato included in the LA dine deal was objectively good, but I was hoping to have enjoyed something that was made by the Niku Nashi chefs, in their own kitchen. I feel like kitchen management missed a golden opportunity to fully showcase their work with Dine LA. We were a party of five so two friends of mine ordered the sushi boat. The appearance of it was beautiful but I tried several of the rolls that did not come on my plate and none of them were either distinctive or memorable to me. Also there was too much edimame in these meals. A bit more creativity and variety would have done wonders for my feelings about this restaurant. Ironically, the very best orchestrated thing ordered off the Niku Nashi menu was the ginzu platter. It was a very flavorful fried trio of vegan chicken, french fries and spring rolls. The truffle fries were great and so was the chili sauce that came on the nuggets. While in the midst of dining at Niku Nashi, I thought if only the chefs were as bold and creative with spices in the sushi dishes as they were with this ginzu platter, I would have given a whole additional star for food. I think these chefs are basically talented but they need to up their seasoning and presentation game if they want to even hope to compete with the likes of Shojin.
