   Great experience. Small, intimate, family feel. Food was spectacular, and chef Lindsay actually visited us at our table … and was so friendly & very accommodating!

   We were compelled to eat a Valentine's day (expensive) restricted menu on the 15th. The regular menu was not available.The starter was tasty but cold. Seating was ridiculous and claustrophobic, apparently because the outside seating area could not be used, resulting in overcrowding - an explanation on being seated would have been nice.. A railway carriage had more room. The entrees were good but expensive. The lentils in one entree were very good but did not justify the price. We did not wait for dessert since we felt so hemmed in. We are locals who will never go there again.

   Every dish from appetizer, to fresh made mushroom soup, to main course of house made raviola, to a ice cream desert. Chef Lindsey has created each dish well. We will certainly go again. One other point- the serving staff was attentive, responsive to special dietary requests. They have a main dining area AND a crows nest to catch a glimpse of lovely laguna beach and the fresh ocean air.

   Valentine’s experience was just OK. Several dishes were no longer available for an 8pm seating, but you had to choose a starter and a main. In hindsight, maybe you wouldn’t be held to that but that was the instruction on the menu. The poblano chili looked sad on its own. I’m sure the photos had garlic bread or something with it. The mussels and frites were tasty. The putanesca ravioli was bland and the frutti de mare was just small samples of various grilled fish (scallops substituted for shrimp) on mash potato for $50 something. Very pricey for what it was but I guess that’s the Valentine’s experience. Expected more vibrant tasting food for a farm to table restaurant.

   We always live the poblano pepper appetizer. The chocolate cake was exceptional.

   We both had the filet mignon stroganoff and it was really the best we ever had. Very good quality food. Friendly staff, and a very pleasant experience..

   What a gem for both locals & tourists alike. We started with baguette, mushroom soup & gem salad…all incredibly fresh & delicious. Entrees included filet, short rib stroganoff & salmon…again, the difference is the ingredients & their organic or caught wild source. Chef Lindsay is committed to providing a delicious but healthy dining experience. We had the opportunity to speak with her & learn more about the events they offer at the restaurant during lunch, dinner & private dining. She’s a wealth of knowledge on true clean eating & shares her gift without fail. Excited to buy market items for home dining as well. Thank you, Chef & Nirvana team.

    Our first time at this restaurant. It did not disappoint. The mail and the service were outstanding. Definitely somewhere to put on your list. We will be returning there soon.

    Best dining experience I’ve ever had in Laguna Beach. Have been coming (and trying restos) in this neck of the woods for over a decade and it’s the first time I’ve been inclined to write a (positive !) review. Food was delicious, balanced and intentional. Service was also impeccable (thank you to Lindsay who took care of our group with grace!) We were 10 with multiple dietary restrictions and eclectic tastes and Nirvana succeeded in suggesting a family style with a delicious selection to satisfy every palate. Warm and welcoming staff, intimate but not pretentious. Well done - will be back!
