We were very excited to try the new Nobu location. I invited a friend who is very very familiar with the brand, restaurants and menu. Given our collective friendship circles we were both surprised that no one really knew this was already open etc. We secured a 5:15 reservation and were met by an empty restaurant, aside of one guest who was sat at the bar with her dog. We were offered truly the worst table in the restaurant, tiny and right by the entrance, which given once again the restaurant was empty seemed bizarre. Indeed when a manager was asked to help we were baffled that rather than this being resolved with a smile and kindness it turned into quite the altercation. Bizarre for an establishment just establishing itself here. Clearly begrudgingly, we were given a larger table. Yes it’s a pop up but the vibe is certainly lacking, essentially just being located off the lobby and the food coming from a kitchen the other side of the lobby makes it interesting not to mention the multitude of rubber neckers just coming in to have a look? The Nobu team seemed knowledgable, the hotel staff however seemed way below par. The sushi specials were magnificent as was the sushi. The hot dishes however not so much and for some reason were missing elements that they usually would have. After our meal in which we really did sample many dishes from the menus we left noticing still several empty tables and could not help but feel baffled by the clumsy and hostile start to our evening, especially given my guest’s propensity to entertain large groups and in way this was a bit of a tester, it seemed that experience could have been avoided. Again the sushi was Devine and for that one would return. We hope they find a better, more special and pretty location which offers some intimacy and for sure way better staff to meet the guests.

We sat outside and Chelsea was our server. She did a great job and was very knowledgeable about the food. She made wonderful suggestions and we enjoyed everything.

Food was amazing , and service was also good. Unfortunately, a couple with their dog sat beside us and it honestly ruined my evening. I recognize nothing the restaurant could do but the dog did its thing and i don’t think it’s correct for others having to put up with that. Maybe they can seat them in a separate area for them to enjoy. Anyway, putting that aside had a nice time.

Nobu location in Manalapan, tied to Larry Ellison's renowned vision for creating world-class destinations. Nobu, known for its luxurious hospitality and dining, combined with Ellison's impeccable taste and eye for unique locations, would indeed create something extraordinary. Manalapan, with its exclusivity and coastal charm, seems like a perfect match for a Nobu property. Whether it’s a hotel, restaurant, or a mixed-use concept, this collaboration could set a new benchmark for luxury and innovation.

I love Nobu and have been to several locations. If you associate the brand with location you may be disappointed. It is a pop up location and the food is good, however the menu is limited and output is slow. The servers and staff are excellent and make up for shortcomings. Depending on night volume can get extra loud due to size of space.

Nobu is always amazing, however the pop-up atmosphere is very cold and boring. The acoustics are awful and the wait staff seemed very green. Hopefully when they move their location inside the hotel they will be more put together.

The miso cod is the best. My shrimp tempura roll was the best I’ve had.

Food excellent but server was incredibly aggressive and spoiled what was to be a special birthday celebration. Lighting too low to read menus. I have always been so thrilled by the Eau Palm over the last decade so my expectations were high. We were disappointed last night.

Food was excellent as always, hopefully does well enough that they take over one one of the other restaurants in the hotel since this is basically tucked away off the lobby as a lounge setting. Did notice certain dishes and specials aren’t available like in Miami or NY. My waitress Calista was superb. My one complaint would be that did notice that the size of the sashimi salad with Matsuhisa dressing was much smaller than usual. Please fix that Asap, especially at 39$. Great that don’t have to travel to Miami anymore
