We took my son to Nobu for his 13th birthday celebration. He is a huge fan of sushi so this was a special occasion for him. We were able to sit at the sushi bar and were given amazing service both by our server and by the chefs preparing our meals right in front of us. The server made a special point of surprising my son with a special dessert at the end of our meal. The whole experience was top from beginning to end exclamation point highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.

Haven’t been to Nobu in years and the last visit was in Miami. The Palo Alto location does not disappoint. Great vibe and the food and service were excellent. It’s pricey but worth the price.

The first time I went to Nobu in Chicago was absolutely amazing, the second time was last night in Palo Alto, and the food was really not that great, the crispy rice with tuna on top you could tell had been fried hours before because it was chewy… There were a couple dishes that we had that were excellent, but 2/3 of them were just mediocre, especially for the price

Servers were clearly in training, which shouldn't have been alluded to by the other servers (quite undermining). Our servers did well, the experienced ones should know better. Music volume was too loud for the level of bass in the tracks that were playing. And the least forgiving - overcooked three ounces of wagyu, over-charred it (burnt for a thick crumble). and proceeded to fancifully set it alight to make it worse. Someone got a bit excited with the blowtorch.
