   Food plating and presentations may look simple and even underwhelming at times, but in taste, this chef never disappoints! From start to finish, salads, mushrooms, homemade pastas, focaccia bread they made to the succulent well-executed trout, and choco mousse… everything was a delight!

   Cela faisait longtemps que nous entendions parler de Nora Gray et nos attentes étaient donc très élevées. Le repas était délicieux, et les propositions de cocktails et de plats assez distinctives. Mais le menu est limité, et je m'interroge sur la dénomination italienne du restaurant. Nous sommes allés à plusieurs reprises en Italie, qui offre une cuisine colorée et généreuse. Le Nora Gray nous a plutôt proposé une variante plus austère et une atmosphère plus sombre. Il manque un peu de générosité (pas de pain, pas d'huile, pas d'olives, ni de fromage au menu). Pas de détails sur la liste des vins pour nous aider à choisir. Nous sommes donc un peu déçus, surtout relativement à la facture qui est trop élevée. Le service était impeccable et l'accueil chaleureux, la liste de choix musicaux remarquable.

   The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. The food was excellent from the bread, salad and the main course. There is not a great selection of food but what they had on the menu was sufficient. The trout and the mushroom salad were very tasty and there was plenty of parking near the restaurant.

   We arrived at Nora Gray and had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated, but they graciously offered us a complimentary glass of bubbly while we waited, which was a nice touch. Once seated, the service and food were absolutely excellent. The staff was attentive and the dishes were delicious. Despite the wait, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely go back.

   I've been wanting to go to Nora Gray for quite some time now, based on the very positive feedback from critics and other foodies alike. So expectations were high. The meal was fine, the food decent but not wow as I would have expected. The menu is limited - one can understand the economic challenges of modern restaurants - but it doesn't really stand out from other restaurants I've been to recently. So in summary, it's fine, but not wow as I expected. On the positive side; extented wine list- but we miss a lot of details on the wines (regions for instance) - and it is a bit expensive- The service on the other hand and the reception staff are top notch. It helps to set a positive tone for the evening.

   The kitchen's understand of flavour and texture is next level. The service staff were charming as they explained the French language menu to the Englais. Wines by the glass were interesting and delicious. Really a top level dining experience. We were in Montreal three nights. It was so good Thursday we went back Saturday.

   Lexi et Elliot sont incroyables. Ils ont rendu notre expérience si mémorable. Nora Gray reste mon restaurant préféré à Montréal. Il n'y a pas eu un pouce de déception lors de ma visite !

   I've been to Nora Gray 5 or 6 times over the years. The food is excellent. I've always sat at the bar, which is my preference. When the service is great, the experience is outstanding. When it's less than great, the experience is less so, despite the food always being very good. The service at our last visit was fine, but not great. The bartender was distracted (rightfully so, as someone had left without paying right before we arrived). However, he remained distracted throughout our dinner. We ordered cocktails and finished them before our main dishes arrived. We sat with our main dishes and empty glasses for quite a few minutes, trying to catch the bartender's eye, without success. Our food (one of which was pasta in brodo - best when hot) sat while we waited...and waited...we watched the bartender unload and polish glassware, take several sips of wine tasters and generally never meet our eyes. It wasn't until another patron, also seated at the bar, told him we needed drinks, that he finally came over to us. The wine he recommended was great. The food was also great. However, the service left a little to be desired. Everyone has off nights, and given the caliber of food and wine, we will go back to Nora Gray, but if we have another less than stellar service experience, we will likely choose to dine elsewhere in the future.
