   food was great. service a little slow. took awhile to be greeted by our waitress once seated. food took a Long time to come (maybe an hour). the place was full on a Sunday 6:15 reservation. we were seated right away. we were in the side room & even w that, it was loud.

   Not great. We had a reservation and they put us outside under a heat lamp that wasn’t working. I love eating outside but it was too cold. Somebody at another table had a blanket on so if there’s no heat lamp don’t put people there. They moved us to another outside table and it was like a wind tunnel. So, they moved us to the bar. Very disappointed in that. The food was very MEH. I had the crushed meatball and it was so bland. My husband had the spicy rigatoni and there was hardly any meat at all plus the serving was small. We won’t go back.

   Excellent lunch/brunch on Sunday. Food was very good. So was the service. We just waited a while for coffees at the end of the meal. I would recommend and will go back.

   Bar service is extremely slow. It took about 15 minutes to get our drinks. Wait service was also slow.

   I want to clear, the service is above and beyond. From the bar staff when we arrived early for our reservation to our server, we were attended to and had every question answered, great recommendations and casual conversation that added to the enjoyment of our covered date night. While the food is good, the truffle oil is all consuming. It borders on too much and this is from someone who loves truffles. I opted for the Fungi Pizza because the Lasagna was sold out. In fact, we were told it was about this time every night (7:45) that the lasagna is consumed. Why not make more if this is the standard outcome? We’ll come back eventually but I don’t know if this will be in the typical rotation for the rarest of nights out.

   I go to the North Italia Ballantyne often, and service is often lacking, leaving a lot to be desired. The food is good, but portions are too small for the price.

   Food was incredible! Bar service was S… l… o….w! Even the waitress was complaining. But the food, location, ambience was everything!
