Since 1801, Newburgh's historic North Park Road Tavern has delighted diners with its classic, yet refined, American cuisine served in its charming and relaxed restaurant. Dine indoors, or on our seasonal outdoor patio, surrounded by our perennial gardens.Chef Jerusalem Marston-Reid apprenticed under a French Master Chef, and so our New American Cuisine rooted in French culinary techniques.The Tavern has a small but diverse menu, to include chicken, fish, pasta and steak, and a bar menu and happy hour, available only at our bar.North Plark Road Tavern has not forgotten about the vegetarians, with dishes that are just as hearty and comforting as the other entrées, such as pea pancakes with roasted mushrooms and the marinated beets and goat cheese salad with pistachios.

    Pretty bad food, Tartare was grey, crab salad tasted out of a can and was a small little bit for an appetizer. Beef Wellington was grey and sent back and then brought back mooing and was brought back again and still was horrible. Was told the Wellington is tough to cook, don’t put it on your menu If you can’t cook it. Irish onion soup tasted like the alcohol wasn’t cooked out of it. Pretty bad food, crème brûlée was overcooked. Good wine selections though….

    Great evening the food and staff are just great!! Loved the Caesar salad to the filet and the coffee to finish up a wonderful evening.

    This was one of the best meals we have had out. My fiancé and I went for Valentine’s Day and can’t recommend this restaurant enough. The service was phenomenal and all the staff was super personable and kind. We can’t wait to go back!!

    Love the history and vibe but unfortunately the food was quite meh. Friendly and attentive servers can't make up for middling and poor food, so sorry (but honest)
