   I chose Nube to celebrate my birthday along with my good friend’s birthday. This was a slow quiet Wednesday night. We were seated and our server came over. I told the server that the smoke from the fire pit was giving me allergies. She told me to go ask the hostess if they can move us. Strange because any other creditable restaurant you go to, the server would take care of that but okay. The hostess moved our seat and we kept the same server. She wasn’t polite like i was use to at nube. She didn’t ask if we were celebrating anything special she just wanted to take our order and get us out of there. I told her it was our birthday so many times and she never engaged with us until the end. She asked if we wanted to order a dessert. I told her it was our birthday. I’m confused because I’ve been to nube to celebrate a birthday before and the server was so sweet. They brought out a dessert and sang happy birthday. But this experience was not my previous experience here clearly. The server proceeds to tell me that they have never done that. That upset me because it seemed like she just wanted to dismiss us. Don’t tell me you all have never celebrated birthdays when i was here in the past and experienced the restaurant celebrate a birthday. I will never come back to nube. I chose the wrong place to celebrate my birthday.

   We love the rooftop deck. We love the tunes piped outside-just the right volume and beat. Our service and cocktails were wxcellent. However, our food was really not up to par. The fried squid and the shrimp were way over done. Just not what we had had in previous visits. We will give the rooftop at Nube one more chance…everyone has an off day.

   My husband and I celebrated my birthday at Nube and it was awesome! The food was so delicious, I almost asked to see the chef. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Her service was excellent and very professional. We went with her suggestions on the wagyu steak with truffle fries and cheese board and everything was perfect. My husband had the salmon and wagyu dumplings and he enjoyed it very much. Overall the service was great and I had a wonderful birthday dinner. Also thank you for the delicious complimentary chocolate birthday cake!

   Hostesses were welcoming but servers were cold inattentive and boring. Outside bar tenders were cold and asked us for a credit card before she would even consider serving us. And then continued to just stare into space (the view is amazing up there, but….).Maybe she struggled to talk because of her braces.? Menu was awful and we struggled to find a meal even though there was a $50 minimum requirement. Music was too loud and drowned out the surf below. And a group of guys came in yelling and swearing and they didn’t do anything. Very low class place and a shame that they couldn’t take advantage of the location and elevation, and the view.

    The place is very small but very welcoming.. unfortunately it was rainy day and we couldn’t experience the outdoor part fully… food and drinks were good…
