First time at a Kosher restaurant and it was wonderful! The food was thoughtfully prepared and very tasty- no meat, mainly vegetable and fish dishes, many prepared in an Italian style. My pasta a la vodka was really good and the cauliflower arancini were amazing! Our server was so nice and so accommodating. He timed the serving well and made sure we were happy with our food. The only reason I didn’t give full 5 stars was a slightly off odor where we were sitting—possibly from moisture? Otherwise we had an excellent experience. We will return!

The food is generally good if not outstanding, but the service has declined precipitously over the past year or so. Despite a confirmed reservation for our party (and fees if we'd been no-shows), our table wasn't ready and was hurriedly set up. Our waiter was inattentive and lacking initiative in the extreme. We had to prompt him to take appetizer orders and later, to take entree orders. I really want to love Nuovo, but the service needs to be more consistent with a fine dining establishment -- not an upscale pizza restaurant.

I like the location and I like the interior. But that is where my positive review ends..... Friend of mine was visiting from the Middle East. Took him shooting and to dinner afterwards. Went to a Nuovo. The number of problems at this restaurant were at first subtle but gradually shocking. 1. High menu prices. 2. Limited menu options. 3. My friend ordered a diet Pepsi and the waiter didn't bring it. I had to remind him. 4. When the waiter collected our appetizer plates, he also took our used silverware, brought the entrees, but didn't bring new silverware. For several minutes we just sat, looking at our food. My friend snagged 2 silverware sets from a nearby table. 5. I ordered a red snapper atop a bed of corn ribs. First of all, shame on me for breaking one of my golden rules - not ordering seafood at a restaurant other than tuna or salmon. I never do this, but I thought "what the heck", the $38 red snapper has gotta be decent. No idea what corn ribs are. How bad could it be? Well well well... The snapper was brought out looking like some kind of curled up lobster tail, scored in a crosshatch pattern, cooked to oblivion...to the point that I had to chew using all my teeth including the memory of my baby teeth..........and those corn ribs? They took a corn cob, sliced it vertically into quarter cobs, and placed it beneath the snapper. And drenched it in some kind of cream sauce. Look....all of these things might seem reasonable by themselves, but the dish just doesn't make any sense. Due to being drenched in cream sauce, you can't eat the corn using your hands, and because of its quarter-slice you can cut the corn kernels off using a knife because the inner edge of the slice keeps flopping around, and because they left the inner cob IN THE THING, you can't even cut off sections of the corn rib to eat it. The metal knife they provided doesn't cut through the corn rib. When I finally managed to hack off a part of the corn rib, I ended up chewing for days.

From the appetizers to the drinks to the desserts, it was a knockout experience. Many and our party had never been to an Italian dairy restaurant. One of us was even a true Italian and was blown away by the quality and accuracy of the preparations. Those who have never visited before are putting this restaurant on their A-list to return. Our waiter and his assistant could not have been nicer. And everyone appreciated the close in parking.

The food never fails to exceed expectations. They offered a pumpkin cheese cake which was so light it didn’t seem like the typical too dense cheesecake (which I liked)…it was simply delicious
