This was our second time visiting Nuri Steakhouse. The selections are all over the place, which is good. They have steaks, seafood, gumbo, Asian specialities as sides, almost unlimited drink selections. They ask us to cut into our steaks, which I declined. I never understood why a high end steakhouse ask me to make sure they cooked the steak ok. I feel like if the chef cooks a high volume, they should know by touch. It turned out perfect, as I expected. My steak had way too much salt and that would be my main complaint. Over all it’s a great restaurant and one we will try again.

Nuri Steakhouse was an experience highlighted by excellent service and food. With just a bit of studying of the menu, you take note of New Orleans-inspired, Korean dishes or is it NOLA and Korean fushion? Nonetheless, me and my two girlfriends had a great time and enjoyed most of our food selections. As soon as we sat down, we were met with fresh bread and butter. Unfortunately, by the time we got to the bread, it was cold and we did not enjoy the taste of the butter. Butter seemed to be undersalted or underseasoned; either way it lacked flavor and left us with an aftertaste; then requesting a different type of butter, but only to get an alfredo-like sauce. The sauce was delicious on its own, but it just doesn't go with bread. For appetizers we ordered the shrimp croquette, and this Louisiana girl absolutely loved it! Best thing we tried; the flavors were layered, deep, and familiar, which is hard to find outside of Louisiana. The crab cake, was indeed chock full of crab, which is always a plus, great buttery edges, perfectly browned and crisped. Crab to bread ratio was stellar! Still on the appetizers...we sampled the taste of two gumbos, which were disappointing. On appearance, the traditional NOLA gumbo had a deep dark, and thick roux, however, it was scorched, so we could not enjoy what could have been a great NOLA gumbo. The Korean gumbo was just good. For authenticity, I do not have much experience with Korean gumbo, but the kimchi, Akaushi sausage and beef all melded nicely - and clearly giving, Korean. Last, for entrees, we each ordered the Prawn Pad Thai, Ora King Salmon, and Japanese Miso Sea Bass. In summary, the entrees were full flavor, cooked to perfection, and balanced seasoning. No complaints on the entrees. Overall, a wonderful dining experience; but if I come back, it will definitely be for shrimp croquette! We also appreciate the manager stopping by to check on us :)

The service was really slow, and our server seemed uninterested. It just wasn’t the memorable celebration we were hoping for a birthday.

The restaurant has beautiful ambience. However, the service was poor. It took almost an hour and a half to actually sit and be able to eat after the reservation time. When we did order, the food service was so slow.

We love Nuri! The dumplings were scrumptious, the filet was spectacular, the jalapeno/bacon/corn was the bomb, and we brought home all the kimchi butter we could get. The drinks are meticulously balanced and y’all have the best bartenders in Dallas!

We had dinner on the patio. There were 4 of us. They brought us dinner rolls prior to dinner (nothing special). The cocktails were good. The servers did not know who ordered what & put the incorrect dishes in front of us 4 times (during the 3 courses). We had to raise our hands to tell them who ordered the dish they were about to set down. My Halibut, which I often order (if available), served with Japanese Curry was terrible. It was a tiny piece that was dry, over cooked, salty and flavorless even with the curry and 2 brussel sprouts it was served with ($42). I reminded them about my salad they forgot about (Black garlic ceasar). They apologized about brought it out complimentary, it was nothing special. My friends ordered prawns Pad Thai, 2 types of gumbo, arugula salad. Everyone else said things were "good". I have to say it was disappointing for a very expensive meal.

We were seated at a nice booth near the bar. Good vibe with most of the tables occupied around 7:30 last night. Chris was a fantastic waiter! Cait's Korean Lobster was the best she's ever tasted. My salmon was very good, too. The rice and cheesecorn sides were delicious. Cheesecake was a wonderful way to finish the meal. Greeting staff was terrific, too. Only thing we'd still like to see is a tablecloth on the wooden table.-) Jamie is the manager of Nuri and is incredibly attentive to the needs of his customers!

The food was fantastic! The yellowtail appetizer was fresh and the flavor exquisite! The steaks and halibut entrees were excellent. The service was good - our server was a bit pushy and pretentious - generally annoying but the rest of the staff did an excellent job.
