   Service was spotty and slow. Steak came out undercooked. Waiter failed to tell us the fish special, and when asked failed to provide the price. Frankly the worst experience I've elhad at Oak, one of our favorites usually.

   The sides, salads and wine were good! The ambiance was also good. 2 of our group ordered a steak that was on special and they both had a hard time eating it. They said it was very fatty, the dry rub wasn’t appealing and it just wasn’t a tasty cut of meat. When the manager asked us how everything turned out, we were honest. He took offense to our feedback and then the service quickly went downhill. A rude comment was also heard mumbled by a staff member. After tip our bill was $700 for 4 people and 2 of them left very disappointed and all 4 of us left with a weird feeling. Feedback should be taken as constructive, especially when you seeked it out.

   Thank you to the staff, our waiter Jose, and the GM Todd for making our date night so special. My all time favorites: everything! lol Cinn City drink East Coast Oysters Oysters Rockefeller Steak Frites 6oz Petit Filet Mignon Crispy Brussel Sprouts Yukon Gold Potato Puree Croissant Bread Pudding Perfect for date night! Amazing cocktails! Scrumptious food! Succulent oysters! Delectable dessert. They check all of the boxes

   Price does not match quality. You could eat at a Michelin star for the price point and you're definitely not receiving Michelin quality. Solidly fine food. Nothing special.

My most sincere apologies that you felt the quality was not what you expected. We use only Certified Angus Beef and butcher in house daily. No one wishes the price of beef was less than us, but we do try to pass along the savings of butchering to our guests. That being said, please call me so we can discuss your expereince with us.     It’s such a beautiful, elegant restaurant, set in such a charming area of the North Side Old Town. The decor and lighting created a lovely, intimate ambience. The service was top notch excellent. Food presentation was great and taste was on point. Would definitely recommend.
