   Walked in greeted with a smile quaint small two seat booth! Sean was our waiter Sean stayed on point courteous polite knowledgeable good conversation enjoyable experience food was outstanding petite filet Oscar style Pittsburgh medium cooked to perfection. Outstanding

   I’ll begin with the good… the hostess and server were great… both were friendly, accommodating and professional! The drinks were also good… well balanced and tasty. The playlist was OUTSTANDING, and the volume was perfect! The only thing that negatively impacted the ambiance was the temperature… it was like a refrigerator. When the hostess has to suggest opening the front door to make it a bit warmer, you know it’s too cold! Now, the unfortunate… almost all of the food (with the exception of the Mac and cheese) was delivered lukewarm, despite a request for it to be extra-hot in temperature. After the appetizers were delivered at a barely edible temperature, I reminded the server about our request. It appears as though he attempted to honor our request, but the kitchen appears to have failed (hot plates, with warm food). My husband kept saying, “… try serving from the bottom… it’s a little warmer when you do that!” Also, the food lacked flavor. I am NOT a salt lover (and I HATE adding it to find some sort of flavor), but the seasoning was definitely bland at best. Look, with the tip, this meal was more than $600 for four persons. For that amount of money, one does not want (and should not have) to beg for a standard-level meal! While we wanted to lime this place, its a big, “NO” for us! We definitely will NOT return… there are much better high-end dining options that know how to get it right!”

   Hi Jan, Thank you for taking the time to write and we appreciate when guests love our service, our ambiance and especially our music! First of all, I want to apologize for your experience with our food. That is the last thing we want and we will exchange a dish for one to your liking if you wish. The one thing we teach our servers is to ask how each course is for our guests. We also like to get the manager involved to make sure your requests are not only heard, but followed through. Did the manager stop by your table? We take great pride in the fact that almost everything we make is done in house.    We celebrated our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time and amazing food. Our waiter was exceptional and guided us through the menu and the best offerings. Save room for the cheesecake! Cheers!!

   Oak Steakhouse never disappoints. Beautiful cuts of beef perfectly prepared. Knowledgeable staff with excellent service. Nice location in Old Town Alexandria.

   Drinks were bad, food was bad and costs high! And why would they “make” you put in your entire order (including appetizers) all at the same time? Did not enjoy

   We have celebrated our anniversary here for the last three years and each time the experience gets better. We were treated very well. And the food and service were outstanding.

    First time dining here and it took more than 30 minutes for our food to arrive. Manager was walking around talking to guests all around us and seemed to intentionally avoid us. Food was ok, but nothing special and expensive. Will not return.

This is the last thing we want to hear and I am surpised the manager did not stop by because we teach all our managers to touch every table. Your server is taught to check in after each course as well. I would love the chance to speak with you personally regarding your last visit.
