Located on Charleston's historic Broad Street, Oak Steakhouse is a classic American steakhouse. A classic array of both wet and dry aged Certified Angus® Beef are featured on the menu. Ingredients are sourced locally and regionally from sustainable farmers and fisherman to accent the steakhouse menu. Items including local oysters on the half-shell, Clammer Dave's caper clams and a daily fresh fish selection depending on the season. Other popular dishes include the whole fried lobster, goat.sheep.cow artisanal cheese plate, wedge of Kurios Farms bibb lettuce salad, the house-made pasta and vegetarian plate. The expansive and impressive wine program at Oak Steakhouse emphasizes big California Cabernets and Old World reds from Italy and Bordeaux with more than 200 wines by the bottle and 20 wines by the glass. The bar attracts a loyal, local following from nearby businesses and neighborhoods with its great cocktails and happy hour. Inside a historic bank building that dates back to 1848, Oak's stately setting features three floors with five distinct dining areas. Arched windows, 20-foot ceilings, original metal work, fireplaces and 150-year-old heart pine floors, offers the perfect setting for enjoying a special evening.

This is the place for seafood towers, Angus steaks, and bold Cabernets. It’s the heart of the Indigo Road group, helmed by James Beard semifinalist restaurateur Steve Palmer. There are now seven locations across southern USA, but none beat the original – Condé Nast Traveler calls it one of the best restaurants in Charleston, while others rank it among the best steakhouses in the country.

Everything we ordered was delicious – – oysters (raw and chargrilled),  beef carpaccio, crabcake, Cobb salad, mac & cheese with bacon, brussels sprouts, mushrooms, truffle fries, and of course, amazing fillets!  our waiter was friendly and spot on – – thanks for a great evening, Brody!

They really made it special with the birthday girl’s name on our menus, a complimentary glass of Prosecco for the table and a slice of chocolate cake with a candle to end the night. Food came out in a timely manner and was delicious. Our server was so attentive without be overbearing. Loved the overall ambience. Definitely pricey, but worth it for a special occasion.

Oak made the evening so very special, could not have wanted for more attention and excellent service. Our steaks were perfectly prepared, chosen wine so tasty, and their signature chocolate cake, yum!! Thanks to Oak for making our anniversary one to remember.

                                                                                              Wife and I went there for our anniversary and had a great experience. Eric our waiter comp’d us an appetizer, which was excellent “BEEF CARPACCIO”. We had their signature steaks which were cooked perfectly, along with spinach and jalapeno cornbread. My wife loved their cosmos and I enjoyed their wine selections. Overall great time.

                                                                                              Our server Ryan was spectacular. Came here for a birthday and was gifted an extra side and very cute special menu. Amazing food, shrimp was slightly overcooked. Everything was amazing.

                                                                                              The appetizers were ice cold but the waiter took them off so i appreciated it but the food was unseasoned and cold. This place was highley recommended but for $200 I was appalled at the outcome.
