   We were so disappointed in this place after a friend had recommended it. Perry’s is usually our “go to” place for a special date night for a delicious steak. We had this place booked 3 weeks in advance for Valentine’s weekend for 2 and still only got a high top bar table which was not a big deal. It took forever to get drinks and our food. We watched many couples sitting at the bar get food and drinks way before us even though we had been there a good 20 minutes before them. My $59 filet and my husbands $69 steak came out way under cooked. After 10 minutes of trying to flag our waitress down we finally sent it back to be returned the exact same way. We finally gave up and took it to go to cook the next day. At one point I finally had to go to the bar to get our drinks that took 20 minutes to get when the bar wasn’t even that busy. Sadly the rolls were the best part. There is obviously no dress attire with people in sweatshirts and shorts yet the steaks were $50-$250. Perry’s, Ruth Chris or Capital Grill blow this place away. It’s way over priced for bad service and steaks that my husband can make better. Don’t waste your time or money on this place. SOOO disappointed.

   Went with my wife for Valentine’s Day. I had the elk chop while with a side of collards,she had the steak frites which came with bone marrow fries. The food was delicious , atmosphere was great and service was top notch. Although great pricing was a little high for what you are getting , especially with the majority of main course sold a la carte. Overall good experience and I would go again

   The food was not great and dinner for 2 was grossly overpriced. They were out of bread and out of mash potatoes and we were offered no sort of compensation for their short comings. The scallops stuck up the whole table and my steak was meh at best.

   My husband says this is the best steakhouse in Raleigh. The best steaks. The service was impeccable. The server even sent us home with moonpies. It is a pretty place too.

   Great experience. Very beautiful restaurant and AMAZING meat selection. Highly recommend the Elk Chop but will say it is only a small amount of food for the price.

   The steak was not cooked the way we ordered it but they were so busy we did not want to send it back and wait another 20-30 min. It was so very loud, as well.

    Oak steakhouse was great! This place really does a good job at making you feel welcome! They had messaged me a few days before our reservation inquiring about my finances birthday, and some special things about her. I responded with some good information and was excited to see what they did with what I provided but nothing I provided them made its way into our dinner. Secondly the food is good, quite good, but this place is very over priced. There are many good steakhouses who provide a meal just as good for far less. Just know you are paying for the food AND environment here. I would go again for sure, but nothing stood out cuisine wise to the point that I would be willing to pay what we payed again for a meal.
