    Oceanniare is still a solid place for fresh seafood. But the luster over the years has worn off. Bar area had floor issues - everyone kept tripping the yellow caution signs. My seat wouldn’t stop wobbling. Service was okay - waiter was hard of hearing and busy. Food was slow and mediocre - nothing special about the halibut except the price. It used to be a lovely thick cut filet with snow white flesh. Not any more. Relish tray is skimpy. Just not the high class experience it used to be.

    Worst meal and food experience I have EVER had dining in Dallas for over 50 years! Our server was wonderful, but the steaks ( yes plural) were under-cooked ( twice no less) and we waited over 25 minutes for the re-cooked mess to appear. By that time all the sides were cold😩 The discussion with the on duty “manager” Brian was an experience in horrible customer service. Rude, condescending, and at one point saying “ I don’t know how to cook steaks!” Well, apparently neither do your chefs… but isn’t that your job to manage? Wound up after 2 hours there, taking what was left home to re-cook. Did I mention we had a 6 month old!!!! You can only imagine.. Merry Christmas indeed. Not going back!😡

    We love spending special occasions at Oceanaire. Holidays make it a bit busier to get into the area but it’s worth the wait. We went for my husbands birthday. I did note that in the reservation and was a bit disappointed this was the first time an occasion wasn’t recognized for us. The waiter was attentive, the food was amazing and we live the fresh seafood choices.
