This was my wife and i’s first visit to this steakhouse. We arrived earlier than our reservation and thankfully they had available seating and were able to accommodate us right away. The service was great, and my wife said her Salmon tasted great as well. I ordered the 10 ounce Filet mignon and it was tender and had a great taste to it. We enjoyed the attentive service of our waiters and while unexpected, we appreciated the hostess going above and beyond to a accommodate our early arrival.

Great steak, though the waiter or the kitchen mixed up the level of doneness. The person who ordered a medium steak received her’s rare, the one who ordered rare received medium rare, and a third received medium and had ordered medium rare. We exchanged bites but ultimately opted not to exchange plates as we all ordered different cuts. We contemplated sending them back, though we were starving so we just ate. Meat was high quality, though under seasoned. Service was the main criticism. Classic creamed spinach, great baked calms, solid garlic mash. The lobster Mac and cheese was tasty, though extremely low on lobster compared to other steakhouses. Key lime pie was severed too cold and lacking tartness

Great steak. Indifferent service, starting with the welcome at check-in and continuing through dinner. We got food we didn’t order. The appetizers took ages to arrive. I had sparkling water accidentally sprayed on my back. Sadly, a disappointment all around. At this price point, we don’t recommend it. There are much better steakhouse experiences in NYC.

This was just ok for me. Nothing outstanding or notable. The service was excellent and super attentive. Kudos there. The cocktails were very good as well. Good bartender. The food though? Just typical steakhouse fare that was not elevated above anything else I have been to. My steak was just ok and although not bad, I cannot rate it excellent. My companions' meals were also good but not great. What disappointed me was the lack of anything that told me I was dining in a very old establishment. There was no "feel" to the room and had I not known he history of the restaurant prior, it could have been located anywhere so I was a bit disappointed in that. I probably will not return because it was 1. Pricey and 2. Not what I would call excellent considering the history.

One of the best meals I had in NYC. There was no rush to turn over my table. We sat and relaxed and had a great time.

There are so many amazing steak houses in NYC do not make this the one you go to. Party of 7 at 5pm. Put on the 3rd floor with zero ambience and atmosphere. Terrible staff, drinks not available, not accommodating - left with a bad taste in our mouths. Have been to Gallaghers - amazing: go there.

First time visiting made a reservation to make sure we got a table as it is holiday season. We had a bit of a wait as it was expectedly busy so no big deal though. We were seated at the very back of the upstairs dining room like a king and queen.....a great table! We were stoked!!! Food was absolutely on point and delicious. Steaks were perfect, drinks were great and a nice wine list. We will definitely visit again!

Let me start by saying the steak was amazing, three of us had the filet on the bone and quote ‘this is the best steak I ever had’ But, and here’s the but, what is the point in making a reservation for 7.45 only to stand in a very tightly spaced bar for 45minutes before we got seated was embarrassing for my guests. Much better organisation is needed!

Great steak. But I brought a rancher to dinner from Montana who was excited to come. He raises cattle. I asked reception to have the manager come over to tell the rancher about the history of the restaurant. Reception said "we'll have the manager come over". Manager was a no show. Disappointing.
