OOLA Capitol Hill offers craft cocktails showcasing OOLA spirits, elevated bar snacks and PNW casual fine dining, shared plates, driven by the seasons. Executive Chef Elizabeth Blacker creates photo-worthy share plates with the freshest seasonal ingredients with a Pacific Northwest flair.

Nestled in a private courtyard on Union Street between 14th and 15th, OOLA Capitol Hill is a gem of a building with two garage doors opening onto a patio shaded by mature Japanese Maple trees. With 11 seats at the bar and 22 on the floor, it is one of the rare intimate community treasures that make Seattle a marvel.

We also have a Private Dining Room for parties from 8-20.

the only thing i can speak to is service and experience which is poor given the fact that this restaurant is closed for the month of January, yet for some reason that is not stated anywhere on Open Table. it still let me make a reservation and all, with no mention of it being closed all month. Maybe it is a great spot and I was hoping to find out, however their lack of clear communication across platforms where potential customers find their establishment not only derailed evening plans but also to me indicates possibly a larger issue with keeping the customer in mind. overall disappointed and left a bad taste in my mouth without even trying their food. Hoping once i do get to try OOLA the let down will have been worth it.

The restaurant was actually closed for business. We didn’t find out until we arrived at the restaurant and it was dark with a sign that states they are closed for the month. Why would you/they be accepting reservations if they are closed? We had to walk around and find another restaurant that could accommodate us.

We went on the OOLA distillery tour and decided to have dinner at OOLA Capitol Hill afterwards — BEST DECISION, and such a fun way to spend the afternoon. The signature burger and fries are BY FAR the best burger I’ve ever had. My husband and I each had a cocktail, and they were superb. The staff were really nice and the atmosphere was really relaxed and fun. We had a great time! We live about an hour away from Seattle and I’m not exaggerating when I say that we will be driving back for that burger again!

This was our second time back in the last few months, the first time not long after the passing of Wayne Johnson, chef at Andaluca and Fare Start. Oola happily reminded us of the inspired offerings that Wayne created. Fresh, seasonal, locally sourced food with contemporary pan-pacific flavor and textures, beautifully presented and plated. Likewise, the wine offerings were appropriate and very satisfying. We were also lucky to sample a flight of Oola whiskey along with a description by the distiller of each offering; and a bonus description of their vodka and gin. The black label whiskey in particular was excellent! We had a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable evening.

The food was delicious and the servers were great however the kitchen was backed up that we had to wait for over 90 minutes (1.5 hrs) to be served. We arrived early at 6:45pm (reservations @ 7pm), waited at the bar, was seated at 7:30pm and had to wait until 9pm to be served. NUTS!!!

Brilliant. What a wonderful place. Lauren the bartender and do-everything owner KT were excellent. Really customer focused. Food was not heavy. Salmon was so tasty. The hanger steak was done just right. The only thing we didn’t do was lick the plate but we cleaned it. Next time have to Uber so we can try the whisky flight.

We went during restaurant week. We were a table of 3 so we were able to taste the restaurant week menu. Our service was top notch! The drinks were amazing and can stand on their own. We loved the hangar steak, so tender and perfectly prepared. It’s such a happy place to be!
