In its bright eatery with wooden accents, an open kitchen and exposed brick walls, Orchard City Kitchen serves modern American fare crafted by Michelin-starred chef, Jeffrey Stout. Sensational vegetarian entrées include cauliflower "steak" with lemon butter and croutons, mac and cheese with shishito peppers and herbed farro risotto. Orchard City Kitchen also has a variety of seafood entrées, such as the grilled and chilled prawns with a fish sauce vinaigrette and scallop sashimi with macadamia nuts, as well as meaty dishes like the KFC (Korean fried chicken), the pork dumplings with roasted mushrooms and the country fried steak with sausage gravy. Inventive meals deserve an equally inventive cocktail. Try the honeymoon suite, with vodka, raspberry rhubarb and lemon.     We are here for the first time tonight as a special occasion birthday dinner. The hostess was absolutely underwhelming and dismissive. She seated us in a very noisy section of the restaurant, literally in front of a door going to the outside patio, with another huge birthday group behind us. It was initially VERY, VERY, VERY uncomfortable until the large group left (a group of boisterous early 30 something’s that should have been tamed by the hostess way before they got as loud as they were). The host/ess was oblivious to what was going on in her restaurant and never acknowledged our own special birthday occasion and never told the server either. (Seriously - Why message me on OpenTable before the reservation asking if it was a special occasion??? What a waste of time. We watched a group get a special occasion behind us, but there we sat. It was honestly embarrassing - I should have chosen a different place for a special occasion) As a whole, for a first time diner, the host/ess and ambiance get a zero - our server was the only one that saved the evening (even though he didn’t know it was a special dinner for us). Great food - literally everything else needs help before this place ever gets close to getting a star.

    Always good food, vibe and service. Always go here for brunch but decided to have dinner since they switched up their menu. Did not disappoint

    Booked at 8:45 pm before closing. Entree arrived before appetizer. Everything was cold and it looked like the kitchen was already closing. The vegetarian entrees are all cross contaminated with meat.

    Usually a great spot but seems like the quality of food and service is quickly falling off. Staff is now rude and the dishes were underwhelming.

    We had the best waiter that took great care of us, however we did have a reservation and had to wait a little to be seated. The restaurant is typically loud but the food is always great

    We sat outside, so the noise level was non existent. Our server was amazing. We had three people with various food sensitivities and she helped us to curate a wonderful variety of tasty dishes.

    Food and drinks were delicious. Even though the menu changes, we always have to get the KFC. Highlight of the meal was the cobbler dessert recommended by our server

    Orchard City Kitchen’s brunch was wonderful! The service was excellent and all of the food was top notch. We had a big party and everyone left happy and full. Thank you, I’ll be back in the future!

    Dishes that we had ranged from good to very good. However....portions were TINY. Minuscule. The $26 salmon dish came with 3 bites of fish. Service was outstanding. While everything tasted good for the most part, I just can't justify going here again.
