    While there were some hits and misses with Orion’s, I have to say that this dinner was disappointing. On the plus side, the host was fantastic, the ambiance was energetic, and the view was fantastic. But the food was a different story. Maybe we would have had a better experience with a regular waiter/waitress and not the bartender who served us, and whom I didn’t think knew the menu. When I asked about the octopus in the crispy octopus salad, since the menu didn’t even mention octopus in the description, he said it was a big, long tentacle. That didn’t sound too appetizing. So, we went with the potstickers instead. I swear these were air-fried and would make your Asian ancestors cry. They were dry and crispy, not juicy and toasted like real traditional potstickers. I had the jumbo scallops as my main. The quinoa and pea puree were under seasoned, but the oyster mushrooms were tasty. But after tasting one of the “u-10” scallops, my entire nose turned into ammonia. I have a feeling that the scallops were past their prime. And my stomach in the middle of the night confirmed that fact. My husband had the rock fish and said it was ok. Some parts were overcooked and not a stellar dish like it should have been. I finished with the crispy cream bread pudding with ice cream. This was very tasty, but it needed to be served a little hotter. The caramel sauce had hardened, and it was like eating a piece of brittle. But again, it had a nice flavor, and I did enjoy it—at least what I could chew before it hardened. Husband had the green tea tiramisu. Again, it was tasty, but not a traditional Asian green tea tiramisu but more of a green tea cake with whipped cream. I am wondering if we made the wrong choices in our menu selection and this restaurant is all that it claims to be. The jury is still out on whether we will give it a second chance.

    We were celebrating our 7th anniversary. Our first time at Orion’s and the staff was amazing, the food was great! They outdid themselves and made sure we had an amazing time. We will be back soon!

    Service 5 star; Bridget was our amazing server! Only gave 4 star for food as we didn’t care for the scallops. But, Bridget’s recommendation for the shrimp specially role was on point. Will keep coming

    We had the appetizers, sushi, cocktails and wagyu burger. All fantastic!! Waitress was able to give recommendation on drinks and house specialties. The Wagyu burger was cooked perfectly and was very juicy and had lots of taste. The atmosphere was on the top of the Marriot in the Cavalier resort. I was offered a seat in the dinning room or window seat in the bar area. The hostess was able to show me both seats and I choose the seat in the bar by the window. Both were very nice. Beyond enjoying the food and drinks we also enjoyed the views of the beach and ocean. Wonderful experience!!
