Osteria Amore came to life because we believe in the power of food to change your day, or in our case, change your life.

Owner Eduardo Daja has been working in restaurants since he was a teenager growing up in Italy, and his time in culinary school only strengthened his passion for food. After culinary school, Ed stayed in Bologna to work at a family-owned restaurant. He moved to Utah eight years ago, and found himself missing his first love, food. For the past three years, Ed has been managing an Italian restaurant while also maintaining a career in tech and finally made the life-changing decision to open his own restaurant.

That big decision was made possible for Ed when he met Marco Cuttaia, Osteria Amore’s executive chef and partner. Ed’s training in Bologna, considered the food capital of Italy, and Marco’s upbringing in Palermo, known for its incredible street food, bridge northern and southern Italian culinary tradition in a way that’s never been done in Salt Lake City.

    Really great food, excellent service and excellent decor. We went for Valentines and the host gave us a rose and everyone just took really good care of us.

    Once again the food here was amazing. Service was excellent with Josh as our server who provided timely service. 3 girlfriends and I each ordered something different and were very happy with our food. The only thing that I wish they would change is having more alcoholic beverages options. They have their custom cocktails, but I would like something different.

    The service was absolutely incredible. The calamari appetizer was underwhelming, the pasta dishes were yummy but cold, and the dessert was good.

    Wanted to push back reservation by 15 minutes. Told No. Arrived on time and waited 20 minutes for table. They put Thyme in cacio e pepe. Steak ordered medium rare, served medium. Dessert good.

    We had a great meal at Osteria Amore. I loved the Burata and tomato salad and the pear and Gorgonzola ravioli. My husband also enjoyed his pizza.
