   We had a wonderful meal on a very busy night. The service was good however they could have used another server. Our waiter was really hustling all over the place. Supporting staff such as hosts and bussers did a lot to keep things moving. We will be back as the food is always good and we enjoy the old world atmosphere.

   Our First visit to this Capri. I’ve been to many Italian Restaurants and several run by this family. This one was really good. It’s located at 2111 Butterfield Rd, Downers Grove, IL 60515. We started with non-alcoholic Moscow Mules. They were good, but one drink was weak on the Ginger Beer. We found out when served that they ran out of ginger beer, so we had our answer before we drank them. Our server brought complimentary warm sliced bread and an olive, red pepper, Salami and cheese plate. A very nice touch. We had the Sausages and Pepper appetizer. A+. It’s served With green peppers, olive oil in a garlic sauce. We will have this again. I ordered Eggplant Parmigiana. A lightly breaded parmigiana with mozzarella in a marinara sauce. It included a choice of salad or soup. I had the salad. The balsamic drizzled olive oil dressing was really, really good. Again A+ My companion had Pollo Francese, a tasty chicken breast, Pan friend in egg and flour in a lemon sauce with a side of pasta. It also included a choice of salad or soup. She had the soup. Excellent again. All portions were very large. For dessert we had the Tiramisu. The server also brought two small Cannoli! We tried to offer Cappuccino but there was a problem with the milk. I’d give them a 5-star rating… but being out of Ginger beer and no Cappuccino!!! Sorry 4 stars.

   The place was lovely for being in a hotel. I was very impressed by the owner being on the floor and greeting and stopping multiple times at tables to make sure everyone was happy and to just make conversation. It’s Italian food done right. Portions are huge and clearly homemade. The waiter we had I think was a bit overwhelmed. His timing was very off and he almost let us walk out with a bad total on the check. Being an honest person I wasn’t going to walk out with not paying what was owed because it was substantial. The floor show was nice for some entertainment during dinner. Not found anymore in restaurants. We said we’d definitely go back again.

   The food was fantastic and the live music was unbelievable - Diva, as always was magnificent! Terry and Dave are a wonderful addition adding live keyboard, horns, guitar, and additional vocals - the "Dance Trio" makes the night fun and entertaining!

   It's simply the best Italian restaurant in the state. The best food for the best price! The service is above average. Go once, you will go back again and again.

   Restaurant is attached to a Double Tree Hotel, ambiance is what you might expect and the food was good, the portions were extremely generous and justified the prices. My wife enjoyed it and ordered the special for the night. I had my heart set on the wood-fired pizza, but it was definitely a let down and didn't have the consistency or taste of a true wood fired pizza. We are split as to whether to return I wouldn't make a point to return, but my wife said she definitely would go again.

   We could not believe this restaurant wasn’t packed. It exceeded expectations and the live music by “Bobby K” made the evening perfect!

    We loved the new seating arrangement. Much more intimate and roomy. The food, as always, was great and our server, Dale, was fabulous. He was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Of course, we will return.
