Pizza is simple food. But it doesn’t have to be ordinary.
Since 2009 when we opened our first slice shop on Congress Street in downtown Portland, we’ve been striving to elevate the pizza experience. It starts with the ingredients – high quality, local when possible – and the toppings – creative and comforting. Mashed potatoes? Tortellini? Cranberries on a pizza? These are just a few of the things we tried – and they worked. “The Masher” with mashed potato, scallion, and bacon is one of our most popular pies. And people thought it was weird when we first put it on the menu.
Making simple food isn’t easy. We are continuously working to make sure every pizza is perfect and every slice unforgettable. Whether it be from one of our slice counters, or in one of our full service dining rooms, every member of our team is motivated by this goal of consistently well-executed, uncomplicated food.

Our family has gone to Otto’s frequently before a movie and have always had great food and service. Today the waitress kept looking away while taking our order. It took 40 minutes to get our app of fries for our 3 daughters. The first meal came out 15 minutes prior to the rest and completely forgot to bring our youngest child’s cheese Pizza. When we asked her about it she said they just called her to get it. She came back 10 minutes later and said we never ordered it and would have to place a new order. Very disappointed by this visit.

We had a great dinner and our server was excellent. They have a good micro brew beer selection. Our pizzas arrived quickly and were hot. We will certainly go back here.

The service and Pizza were just adequate. I’ve been to several other Otto’s and they were all excellent. This location needs a major improvement!!!

Big fan of the Otto empire. This location had terrible service though. 1-Were not ready for our party of 7 (Open Table reso) 2- Slow to take drink order. 3-Food took too long. 4-Non-pizza entrées arrived long before pizza orders.

Did an online reservation, they gave away or table even though we were on time, then we waited another 45 minutes. There was a table on hold for twelve the whole time we were waiting and eating. Meanwhile, they were telling everyone there was an hour wait. Bread knots were dry. Drinks were late. New bartender on New year's. No meatballs. Bad management. Pizza was delicious. Good waitress.
