Food was good and thee price was reasonable, the service was so-so. The restaurant only has one uni-gender restroom, the hotel has restrooms but it has code and it was difficult to find someone to give you the code. Also, the restaurant host told us to ask the hotel font desk for parking validation and the hotel front desk people said no the restaurant should do it , so at the end nobody validated our ticket and we ended up paying a lot of money.

We came in for lunch. It was honestly a let down. My husband got the fish and chips and I got the restaurant week menu. From the restaurant week menu I first got the tomato heirloom salad and it was really good. The second dish was the banh mi and that was alright. Nothing special about it. They taste way better from like carrot and daikon. The dessert was the worst part. I was waiting for my banana date cake and what arrived was a scoop of ice cream with some chocolate sauce on top and sprinkles. I asked the waiter if I was wrong about the dessert and he said they ran out this morning so that was the alternative they were serving. I would have preferred them to let us know at the beginning instead of serving me a scoop of ice cream.

Maybe just a bad night, as it was rainy and cold, but disappointed. It was cold and drafty. We did get blankets which was good. Happy Hour, but nothing posted, so when asked, they only had, house wine, 1 beer, and one sweet cocktail offered. No food specials.Food was just ok, but very expensive. Waitress was very nice, as was the chef(?) I wasn’t in the “swing bench”, but not comfortable for my friends. Bill Kimpton-RIP, would not be happy. This place should be busy, it has the potential, but needs management to step up.

Manager is worthless, rude and untrained on how to mitigate his own mistake.

My wife and I celebrated Valentine’s Day by having dinner at Pacific Hideaway. my wife had the lobster shrimp pasta Valentine special I had the ribeye. The solo artist singing did a wonderful job entertaining us. The dinner was nice. We had a newer waitress who was helped out by a couple other experience waitress to make all well overall good experience, trying to support local business as we live locally in Huntington Beach.

Went for Brunch twice. Service was great both days. Staff very welcoming. Shared the breakfast burrito & bread pudding French toast with my husband both days. Delicious! The burrito is one of the best I’ve had. Just the right amount of each filling, fresh & tasty. The bread pudding French toast came topped with powdered sugar & fresh berries, and sides of whipped cream & syrup. So good! We were staying at the Shorebreak Hotel but I’d come back just for brunch. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. The first day our server comped my Pina Colada since it was my birthday. He said they normally provide a dessert but since we had the French toast he comped the drink instead. So thoughtful! We also had room service from the restaurant while watching the Super Bowl. Fish & Chips, short rib grilled cheese, chips, guacamole & queso. Everything arrived hot & fresh. We will be back and can highly recommend.

Stopped for a short and light dinner. Had Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos, Crispy Chicken Tacos and a Caesar Salad. All dishes we tried were excellent. The menu had a variety of creative items. Service and atmosphere were great.
