Palette provides a colorful dining experience with an American inspired menu featuring in-house cut steaks and 21-day aged 100% black Angus beef.

As we inherited a space as historical as the former Mautz Paint Company warehouse, we had to do it justice. We kept our building’s architectural features intact while updating the space with contemporary design elements and nostalgic touches. We wanted to keep the space faithful to its roots; filled with hues of colors and textures reminiscing of times when the East Washington corridor was a booming industrial area in the city.

Our menu features steak cuts made in-house, chef’s masterpieces, artisan salads and soups, along with a unique beer and hand-crafted cocktail selection.

Service was great. One of the few places that we’ve booked on OpenTable that acknowledged why we were dining there. We were celebrating our anniversary before a badger game. Burgers were very good. Cheese curds could’ve been better. We appreciated the free dessert to celebrate our anniversary.

We were seated at a small table for 2 between two parties of four. There were at least 8 open tables around us. It was not good for conversation and we could have sat elsewhere. The food was so so. Service was slow and our waitress rarely came. The ambience was not good. I would not recommend this restaurant.

A fantastic evening - such a great ambiance and "paint" theme! It was extremely busy due to a concert across the street, but we received excellent service. Very impressed with the waitstaff taking care of a full house and bar! The salmon is outstanding.

The cocktails are the best and the food is super interesting. I’ve never had anything. I didn’t absolutely love. And did I say they have excellent cocktails? I would really like to try them all. They change them up every once in a while as well, which keeps things interesting.

We wanted outside dining but I didn’t think we would be sitting on East Washington ave. Very loud! The food was very mediocre but expensive! The basic salad was supposed to have toppings but they were extremely limited-a couple kernels of corn & a couple bits of bacon. The only thing that was really good were the cheese curds. Drinks are very expensive! We,probably will not go back.
