   Food was very good but we waited over an hour between appetizer and the main course being served. Not the waiter’s fault, although he was over-stressed with too many tables to serve, but rather the fault of a kitchen unable to cope with a Saturday night crowded restaurant.

   The food was great! Huge portions, the pasta was cooked perfectly, the gnocchi were texturally exactly what you’d want, the red sauce was tasty and understated (albeit a bit thin) and the pesto was creamy and full of flavor (fantastic). The pizza was good! For the margarita pizza, the middle was a little wet and floppy and the crust was a little tough, but it did the trick and had really good flavor. The issue was the service….it was a busy Saturday night, so we definitely had Grace (it didn’t affect the tip or anything), but right off the bat the server seemed distracted even when taking our drink order (kept looking around has he was getting double sat I guess?). We ordered a pizza as an appetizer and the two entrees, and we were surprised when the entrees showed up quickly, ran by someone else, and no pizza. The appetizer showed up 20 minutes after the entrees, and maybe I would have said something but we weren’t checked in on during the 20 minutes after the entree arrived until the pizza arrived, and then another 15 minutes after the pizza arrived. Empty drinks….no question of how everything was going….no cheese (which I eventually asked for, but never arrived). We were in and out in an hour, so it wasn’t slow service…..just inattentive. We are thinking of doing our rehearsal dinner for our wedding next year here. Based on food it’s a lock! Service….we are going to check out a few other places.

   We were seated at a table near the bar (fine with us!) but after an hour all of the tables were cleared out behind us and a band started up, blasting right at our heads. They were so good but I wish the host would have mentioned this when confirming our reservation; we would have preferred to sit slightly further away so we could still talk.

   As the crowd grew the noise level increased. The eggplant pizza was delightful as was the Bloody Mary. Service was great.

   Our first time there. The food was good. The service was good. The problem we had was with the pricing. We saw a sign outside that they offer $1.00 oysters on Thursdays. I specifically asked about it before ordering. I had 6 oysters and was charged $17.00. When I questioned the price, our waiter checked with the manager. We were advised that the price only applies at the bar. Our waiter was very apologetic and offered us a free dessert but it was disappointing. This is a significant difference and something that management should be sure that their staff members are aware of.

   Our waitress was great. The music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other talk. Not a place to go on date and be able to chat. Food was ok. First time here. Won’t be back.

   Our entrees were delicious and arrived wonderfully hot-the salmon and Chicken Panache.!! Gerard, our server, was excellent. He was anticipatory, charming, and attentive without being intrusive. Their menu is expansive so even the really finicky people in your party will have great options from which to choose. The one pitfall is the noise volume which is very intrusive and overwhelming. We needed to speak very loudly to each other to have a conversation. The on-site musical performer was very good but played rather loudly for the size of the location and contributed to the noise pollution. The noise issue last evening is not a one time occuurence. We have experienced this every time that we have visited here. It unfortunately detracts from what would be a totally superb dining experience. Kudos to the culinary staff!!

    Food was delicious. Service staff was attentive. Initially seated in back room. Very loud!!! Was researed to front room - sound panels on the walls. Much better!!!
