    Employees were sitting at tables on their phones. They were out of almost everything on the menu. I spent $60 on 2 salads and 2 soups. They were not special. I love the Dixon. The restaurant needs to be special too.

    Horrible service! We left before placing a firm order bc staff did not inform us of items on menu that were unavailable. So when we did place order, staff explains…we’re out of all those items. Menu is small, so you would think staff would alert us when menus were given. Also, i ordered an un-sweet tea when first seated. Staff/waitress served me a sweet tea. When I commented that I ordered “un-sweet” tea, she she said “ it’s not sweet…I just made it!” She continued to challenge me. My friend & I left without ordering. It was very unfortunate and our presence felt very unwanted & annoying.

    When we arrived early, there was two black girls in a tight corner of a stuff pub like library-room. One dressed in a chef jacket was sleep balled-up in a chair. The other cashier went to the back only to tell us they were out of everything on that small limited menu. Unprofessional waste of time. I would NEVER recommend this crap to a rat! Disappointed is not even the word. Do not book a dame thing because this was a waste. A JOKE

    Was disappointed that when I made reservations it was for brunch and upon arriving was informed brunch wasn’t and had not been available for a time only lunch. The already limited menu had items which they were out of, making the choices more limited. The waitress was sweet and cordial. I was disappointed as this was not the anticipated experience that I’m used to from restaurants listed on Open Table.

    The food was excellent and our server was excellent. The food, atmosphere, and service were so excellent I went two Thursdays in a row. Plan to go back again soon.

    I loved this intimate space. It was perfect for lunch after viewing an exhibit in the gallery.

    We booked a 12:00 lunch for Sunday, 11/7. Open table sent a reminder text the day before. We arrived at scheduled time to find out the restaurant was closed for a private event and even didn’t open until 1:00 pm on Sunday’s. Also, we had a very hard time locating the restaurant within the Dixon gardens as there was no signage visible.

    Got there, no one was in the restaurant, stood there for a while. Someone finally showed up and said “hi” but that’s it. I asked was there a drink menu, she said only fir brunch and they canceled the brunch menu and so I left and went somewhere else. Huge disappointment.

    Wouldn’t know as we arrived at 2:50 for our 3:00 reservation and was told the kitchen was closing. Online hours are posted as open until 4:30 and no apology/ explanation was given. Disappointing.
